This MasterCraft received a second life after the new owners brought it to us!

What we thought was a black and white hull, was actually supposed to be black and yellow. The yellow pigment had nearly all leached out. We were able to bring some of that back.

This is what years of neglect can do. You can wash your boat as much as you'd like, but without routine polishing and wax work..... your gelcoat can quickly oxidize to a level like this, where that quick polish job now has turned into a multi stage sanding process, followed by a lengthy buffing process... $$$

This Mastercraft is about to receive a new life!

The black hull was so oxidized, it almost looks white under our bright lights. This is what years of neglect will do.

Under new owners now, she'll be brought back to life through multiple rounds of sanding and buff work.

We can't wait to show you the full transformation later this week. 😎

We gave this Malibu a second life after we removed all decals, sanded through many years of oxidation, and buffed out to a crisp, even finish.

What causes a boat to oxidize? Sunlight (UV Rays) and oxygen are all you need for the molecular structure of the surface to start breaking down and oxidizing. 🤓

Maintaining your boats finish with regular polishing and sealing with a product such as a wax, sealant, or coating will keep it looking 💯 no matter its age.
