It seems, at least to me, that anymore, all I do is come across shoddy work, poor quality, lack of pride in work, and a general dgaf attitude in this, and most other industries. I am also aware that I do spend a considerable amount of time grumbling about it. It’s becoming commonplace to the point where it’s becoming the rule rather than the exception. Sad. So I would like to take this time to acknowledge people who I work with that do still take pride in their work, put out quality work, and actually still look out for their customers. I recently decided it was necessary to put new tires on the cortina… 18 years and a blow-out on the way to the duct tape drags… it’s probably about time. Years before me, someone took the original Lotus wheels and modified the offset. They never fit right and always rubbed. So I had .angus cut the centers out and re-install in the hoops at the correct offset. Dude killed it… knocked them out in short time… totally got them dead straight and was able to do it without damaging the unobtanium wheels. The only complaint is the welds on the inside look too good for 1965 Lotus quality😂. Then Tyler , who prepped them for Angus by blasting 58 years of layers of paint and schmeg, reblasted them and laid on a really nice silver base with a clear over the top. His powder work never dissapoints. Next stop was to where, they were actually the first stop to bust the difficult to remove dry rotted tires off, without damaging them, which I really appreciate. On the return visit they installed new tires and balanced spot on. Overall, all three shops did everything I wanted, all fitting in within their hectic busy schedules, and all did a fantastic job. Car looks so much better… drives better… and now I’m guilting myself into working on the rest of it to match how good this came out. This is what workmanship in America is supposed to be… and I am very happy that I get to work with and spend money with people that still believe in doing the best job they can. Thanks dudes.
