Our shop is proud to be affiliated with the non-profit organization Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA). With both of these organizations our warranties are covered no matter where you are nationwide. We pledge to all of our customers that we will not remove a transmission from a vehicle in order to complete a repair unless absolutely necessary. Additionally our shop promises to diagnose transmission problems in an honest and expert manner. Protecting Yourself from Winter Hazards part 2

If you get stuck in the snow, spinning your wheels in hopes of getting unstuck could damage your transmission. It is better to rock the car back and forth - forward and reverse - or better yet, get someone to push or pull you out of the snow. A tow out is a lot cheaper than a transmission. Pray your Christmas was blessed and you have a safe new year!

As we head into winter, we are going to do a "Protecting Your Transmission from Winter Hazards" series.

Part 1: As temperatures drop, fluids thicken, reducing their ability to lubricate. It is best to drive slowly until your engine and transmission get up to normal temps. Also, avoid letting it idle for an extended period. Sure the passenger compartment gets cozy, but some transmissions don't lubricate internal components with the shifter in park. Not good!
