Well I got a shop truck as a tow rig. 87 Ford F350 4x4 6.9l diesel V8. I got it cheap not running right, barely driving, smoking like crazy. Changed the injection pump with no difference, took the injection pump gear housing off and found that some idiot had taken the pump off with the gear housing before (not the proper way to do it) and put it back with the pump gear 180° out of time. Reason 2,468,936 not to work on your own car unless you know exactly what you’re doing.

I just visited Glacier View, Alaska and was privileged to get a personal tour of a volvo graveyard of cars that had been taken by a landslide years ago. I remember when it happened I saw posts about it all over. I never thought I’d get a chance to behold the tragedy in person, but it was quite the experience. Very sad, some really cool stuff destroyed. Hopefully I will be able to get some parts from some of the less buried cars, my brother-in-law lives there and is up to shipping me bits and pieces. Let me know if there’s something you’re looking for that could be shipped easily from alaska.
