As Hallberg Marine grew, so did the need for space. In 1969, Gene and his father built Hallberg's first building in Wyoming. By 1972, the business had outgrown its footprint in Forest Lake and began moving to the location we know today.
What started as a small family business has continued to grow, but one thing has remained the same: our roots are right here in the communities we call home.

Sometimes, opportunity comes when you least expect it. In 1967, the Alumacraft manufacturing facility was hit by a tornado. Gene Hallberg purchased 266 boats and successfully sold them. That experience opened his eyes to the potential of going all-in on the boating business.
