Most people think about PPF after the first rock chip.

We’d rather have that conversation before it happens.

This Raptor R is going to be driven, so we went all out protecting it. PPF covers the areas most likely to take impacts, including carbon fiber PPF on the hood. Then our Supreme Ceramic Coating went over the PPF and the rest of the truck, all the way into the door jambs.

The interior is ceramic coated too, helping protect the surfaces inside and making everyday cleanup easier.

We finished it with custom carbon fiber Oscar Mike decals for the owner.

PPF for the impacts. Ceramic for the elements and easier maintenance. Protection inside and out.

If you have a vehicle you plan on keeping, protect it before you start wishing you had.

If you use your car the way it was meant to be used, maintaining it becomes even more important.

This BRZ tS came to us fresh off a track day, complete with buckets, a half cage, and even chunks of tire rubber stuck inside the wheel barrels. Exactly what we like to see from a car that actually gets driven.

But track car, weekend toy, or daily driver, the idea is the same. Enjoy the car, then take care of it.

Regular detailing removes the grime, rubber, brake dust, and contamination that builds up with use. Ceramic coating makes that maintenance significantly easier, while PPF adds a physical barrier against rock chips, rubber marks, road debris, and the abuse the paint sees every time you drive.

You don’t have to be a “car person” to take care of your vehicle.

Regular maintenance isn’t just oil changes and tire rotations. The exterior needs attention too.

This 2022 Honda Civic was a great example. Going extended periods without a proper wash had allowed mud to build up deep in the door seals and heavy iron contamination to embed itself into the paint.

That buildup doesn’t just make a vehicle look dirty. Over time, contamination can become harder to remove and can contribute to deterioration of the finish.
A proper detail resets the vehicle, but consistent maintenance is what keeps it from getting back to that point.

Whether it’s a brand new weekend car or the Civic you drive to work every day, take care of it now and it’ll look better for years to come!

Happy Birthday to one half of Down to Detail!

If you know Matthew, you know he’s usually somewhere in the shop obsessing over paint, perfecting the smallest details, or finding something else that “just needs one more pass.” 😂

24 years old. Only 40,000 miles. And absolutely worth preserving..

This Audi TT ALMS Edition came to us already in great shape, but years of small dents, scratches, and stubborn water spotting had started to take away from just how special this car is.

Through paintless dent repair and targeted paint correction, we were able to dramatically improve the finish while keeping the original paint intact. A one-step correction handled the vertical surfaces, while the hood and roof received a more intensive three-step correction.

This is exactly why paint correction and PDR can be so valuable for your pride and joy. You don’t need to wait until a vehicle looks “bad” to give it attention. Years of small imperfections slowly add up, and addressing them can completely change how you feel about a car you already love.
