Great job Emmit!

This young man is on fire lately! Emmit crushed a 25 straight during the Northwoods Invitational this past weekend and came right back tonight to shoot another 25 straight in Week 9 of 9 of our conference season. What a way to finish strong! Congratulations Emmit, keep up the great shooting!

We would like to thank everyone involved in getting our Engine its required and much needed refurbishment.

The refurbishment involved a complete bumper to bumper inspection to ensure the following:
- Safe to operate on the roadway
- Its pump will operate correctly
- Update the apparatus with new NFPA standards.

During a refurbishment, it is also a great opportunity to perform upgrades to systems that are out of date with new technology.

Things our engine had done:
- Repairs to Chassis, Suspension, and Brake systems
- Ladders swing hydraulic pump replacement
- Upgraded to a current Foam system
- Lights for the steps on the apparatus
- Upgraded 360 scene lighting
- Underbody protection coating
- Miscellaneous rust and body repairs

Local partnerships provided all the work listed.

Thank You Keweenaw Bay Indian Community!

This unit came to us as an incomplete refurbish project. A new refurbished utility body had been installed, and they wanted us to complete the pump, electrical, and some chassis work. North Star EVS worked with KBIC to determine the work that needed to be completed. The following items were completed to the customers specification:
-Install and wire ground lighting and work lighting for the skid unit.
-Install skid unit and secure to the body and chassis frame.
-Complete skid unit plumbing, rebuild valves, install pump controls, and wire the unit to be installed in the truck.
-Install master power circuit to operate emergency lights, skid unit, and radio.
-Replace outdated incandescent DOT lighting with current LED models.
-Program the chassis body control and wire the body/chassis to allow operation of separate brake and turn signal lamps.
-Polish the aluminum on the refurbished utility body.
-Clean and detail utility body and chassis.
