With heavy hearts, we remember Paul Julius Sansone, known to so many as Mr. Sansone, who passed away on October 11 at age 90.

Sixty-five years ago, Mr. Sansone opened a modest used-car lot that would become the foundation of Sansone Auto Mall. Through his vision, determination, and genuine love for people, he built a business that has served generations of New Jersey families.

To those who knew him, Mr. Sansone was larger than life—outgoing, fun-loving, and generous. Above all, he was a devoted family man who treasured his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

We are grateful for everything he built and everyone he brought together. His legacy will live on through his family, our team, and the community he loved.

All services will take place at Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven, NJ:
• Thursday, October 15: Visitation, 1–4 PM & 6–8 PM
• Friday, October 16: Visitation, 4–7 PM
• Saturday, October 17: Funeral Mass, 10 AM; burial to follow

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my mentor, my partner, and most importantly, my close and true friend, Paul Sansone Sr., yesterday.

I am truly heartbroken, and words cannot describe how much you meant to me. I can never thank you enough for everything you did for me and my family, and for the opportunities you gave me. It was an honor to be mentored by you for over 20 years, and an even greater honor to call you my very close friend.

Paul will forever be remembered as a pioneer in the automotive industry for the empire he built at Sansone Auto. To those who knew him, he will also be remembered as larger than life, fun-loving, outgoing, and generous. His legacy lives on in the business he built and the countless lives he touched.

I will miss him every day.
