Dirt on your car isn't just cosmetic — it disrupts the airflow your body panels were shaped to work with, and that means more drag, and more drag means your engine works harder to hold highway speed. MythBusters actually tested this head-to-head, same car, dirty vs. clean, and measured roughly 2 MPG difference. It won't fully pay for the wash, but it'll take a real bite out of it — and your paint will thank you either way. (We're not a car wash, just a fact we found interesting.)
