Another evening going out and spending an hour helping a customer.

Just in for service this beautiful 1983 BMW R80 rt in for some service. A little electrical, a little brake, and some leaks to take care of and she'll be back on the road doing what BMWs do the best smiles for Miles.

Was so close to getting her running before I had to run back home. Both Eric and I were exhausted from putting the bike back together and getting her so close to running only to be thwarted by the battery. We spent hours trying to find something that would work. But no luck it will be running soon.

Eric Has gone all out on making His custom built BMW R1200C one of a kind with all these beautiful touches. Can't wait for this bike to be on the road being a neck breaker lol.

Who says custom built bikes aren't good mechanics rigs lol. Back at Eric's trying to finish his build before he heads up north. It was taken further apart than when I left last time LOL nothing I can't handle.

Just debating on whether I should keep the patina and readiness of my rat bike or should I make her pretty again like all the parts underneath that give her the monster performance out of a oilhead at 109 horsepower at the tire. I'm enjoying the new Avon rubber. I've also brushed out my gas cap. Windscreen is off right now but I'm thinking I'm going to put her back on soon.

The only pain in the ass about BMW Oilheads and Hexheads. Changing the clutch full disassembly of rear half of bike. This clutch was down to the rivets on the friction plate and was rubbing the spring plate. 27000 miles of hard riding will do it. Getting her done and replacing other items that were found faulty upon dissembly.

Fun times doing service work on my own bike after a trip to Augusta feeling the clutch slip on the highway and leaving the gas station. Pulling the bike apart to get to the transmission and replace the clutch after 27,000 MI of hard biscuit riding LOL.
