It's a beautiful day here at Sugar Loaf Ford Lincoln as the team finished up 2 bigger jobs! One being a 2021 Explorer deer hit with $12,000 in just parts alone! Wow! Of course with our top notch parts department, all of the parts arrived in a timely manner and any supplemental parts were here within a day after they were ordered. As for the F-150, a boxside replacement and repair to the right rear door were done per oem reccomendations. Aluminum can be a tricky metal to work with but since we are a I-CAR aluminum certified shop, we have all of the tools, equipment and knowledge to produce a high quality repair. Busy week coming up for the team! Bill is hard at work keeping all of us in line and organized! He couldn't do it of course without the office help Miss. Rosie, the best pup! With 10 jobs coming in this week along with the 18 others in the shop we are busy, busy, busy! Jake refinished a Camaro last week and will be busy this morning refinishing an Explorer and Maverick. Shawn is disassembling an Explorer and finishing up bodywork on a GMC Terrain. Sam is tackling a 14 hour boxside repair on a Ram dually and doing a great job on his metal work. Eli is in the process of reassembly on an Explorer and a Ford Ranger. We are booking into the end of September and into October so come see why we are Winona's premier collision Center. 507-454-5170

Last week our painter Jake attended a class on color theory in Chicago at an Axalta training facility! This class taught tinting of color using the 3 categories, chroma, hue and value to determine if the color is an acceptable match to the vehicle! Viewing angles such as near-spec, head-on and side-tone need to all match up so a color match can be spot on. Though a color may look good from one angle it may not be the same story from a different viewpoint. With variables such as gun set up, temperature, humidity and so many others, time and patience is needed to ensure everything matches correctly. With over 90 color toners on our Axalta mix bank we make sure we do our best to keep our knowledge of usage up to date!

Happy Thursday! Our Collision Department now has another 2 full time techs! As of today Sam DavisSweazey and Eli Rust are graduates of the Minnesota State College Southeast Auto Body Collision Technology program! These guys have been working their tails off and will make fantastic techs. We are excited for their future and love having them here. On that note a board full of keys means one thing! WE HAVE WORK. We are currently booking into the middle of June so get on the schedule asap and come see why we are the preffered shop for the Winona area!

Happy Friday from Sugar Loaf Ford Collision Center! Sam has 3 jobs to wrap up today so he will probably have to skip lunch and possibly put in some overtime.😉 Eli has been on a role this week and is buttoning up a 2021 Ford Ranger, along with continuing body work on a Ram Truck! Shawn will be finishing up a F-150 and starting body work on a 2023 Dodge Charger! Jake will be having fun doing body work on the driver's side of a F-150!
