They can appear in an instant, especially around dawn and dusk. Slow down in wooded areas, scan both sides of the road, and remember that if you spot one, another may be close behind.
Enjoy those East Texas roads this fall—just keep an eye out for the four-legged locals who aren't particularly interested in using a crosswalk. 🦌🍂

🚗 **Don’t save the vehicle walkaround for road trips—make it a routine!**

Every few days, or whenever you stop for gas, take one quick trip around your vehicle:

✅ Look for low or damaged tires
✅ Check that your headlights, taillights and turn signals work
✅ Watch for fresh dents, scratches or other body damage
✅ Look underneath for anything leaking
✅ Make sure mirrors and windows are clear

🚗 Do your teen drivers know what to do after an accident?

Before handing over the keys, teach them to:

✅ Move to a safe place if possible
✅ Call 911 and follow the dispatcher's instructions

✅ Get contact information from any witnesses
