Sometimes going above and beyond means stepping outside your job description. 👏

When our Fort Lauderdale team ran into an issue with its timeclock system, Service Writer David stepped in to help.

He worked through the problem, coordinated with our vendor, helped get a replacement in place, and made sure the system was back up and running.

It's just one example of the initiative and willingness to help that earned David recognition as our Employee of the Month.

Hear from David himself about what he did to help the team. 👇

Congratulations, David!

Chasing an engine surge or low-power complaint? The problem may be hiding in the governor.

As RPM changes, the flyweights help control governor action inside a Cummins PT pump. Wear in the retaining pins can create excessive movement—or slop—that may contribute to engine surge or low power.

In this Tips From the Bench, Brian shows what to look for and explains the repair options.

Engine turns—but the PT pump doesn't? Here's one place to look. 🔧

The drive coupling on a Cummins PT pump should be a press fit. When that coupling becomes loose, it can wear the retaining key until the engine is turning—but the pump isn't.

Brian shows exactly what that wear looks like in this Tips From the Bench.

Want to see what else he looks for during a PT pump inspection?

What's actually happening inside a Cummins PT pump as components begin to wear? 🔧

In this Tips From the Bench, Brian breaks down a Cummins PT variable speed pump and walks through what he looks for during inspection—from gear pump housing wear and drive coupling fit to seals, governors, flyweights, and more.

More importantly, he connects that wear to the symptoms you may be seeing on the engine: low fuel pressure, leaks, no-start conditions, engine surge, and low power.

If you work on Cummins PT fuel systems, this is one worth saving.
