On Sunday August 2nd at 5 am we were called by Vermont State Police to a single vehicle crash on route 103 in Rockingham just south of the Vermont Country Store for a car that had traveled quite a distance behind a row of guard rails down a steep embankment in to a brook that flows under route 103. The lone occupant, a juvenile was not injured. He missed the guard rail end and a telephone pole by only inches where he went off the road. Normally we don't post much of the work we do but I felt strongly that this call has a message. That message is: had the operator been injured and trapped in the car, no one would have scene this crash from the road. The saying "If you see something,say something" applies. If you notice tire tracks going where there shouldn't be any, such as the grass marked up and tall grass toppled over where this car went off the road, make that phone call so someone can investigate. The young man in this car was able to call for help and walk out to the road making a good outcome on this call.
