We have started the excavation of what will probably be the last exploratory trench of 2026. We have made some great finds and have plenty of artifacts to clean over the winter.

Good day digging at the fort site today. Linda Z. & Carla L. spent the morning helping me. Several people spotted us working and stopped by to chat. Weather was great. Linda brought a newspaper article to read on the dig on site in 2002. The article included a photo of her son who was helping.
