"Hardy Continues Wi******er Winning Ways With Saturday Late Model Score"
"Roberson RUSH Star, Wilkins in Hobby Stocks. Duvall SCDRA Tour Winner"
By Doug Watson
Wi******er, VA- Kyle Hardy made another profitable trip to Wi******er Speedway as he walked off with top honors in the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature. The win for Hardy, steering his Mike and Becky Hurley owned Rocket Chassis No.99, would be Kyle's 6th overall feature tally of 2026 at the historic Virginia bull ring.
Hardy blasted from his second starting spot to beat pole sitter Russell Erwin into the first turn, and that was all he needed as he would proceed to lead all 20 circuits in quite dominating fashion. Erwin held tough for second with Austin Stover taking third, Chuckie Johnson scoring a season best in fourth with Josh Canipe completing the top five. Heats went to Hardy and Erwin.
In the companion 20-lap RUSH Late Model main former track champion Logan Roberson collected his first Wi******er feature win of the season. As Roberson sped off to the win, current point leader and 3-time winner Devin Brannon settled for second with Dylan Cecce, Shawn Walker and 10th starting Steven Powell rounding out the top five. Heats went to Davin Kaiser, Brannon and Roberson.
Jason Wilkins returned to his winning ways in scoring his 6th Hobby Stock win of the young season. Justin Hottle took a season best runner-up finish with Robert Wilson taking a strong third, 9th starting Dalton Dillman in his first appearance of the season was fourth with Brad Strawderman in fifth trailing at the finish. Heat went to Wilkins and Chris Sumption.
Matthew Duvall picked a great time to win his first of the season as it came in the 30-lap SCDRA tour event as it would net the Pennsylvania racer a cool $2500 payday. Even though Duvall would lead every lap, it was an absolute slugfest to the end as one-time Wi******er feature winner AJ Hoffner was there every step of the way but would have to settle for runner-up money. Josh Frantz, Chris Anderson, and Robbie Carroll would round out the top five. Taking heat race victories over the 50-car field were Matthew Duvall, Chris Anderson, AJ Hoffner, Josh Frantz, Robbie Carroll and Stephen Suite. Twin B-mains went to Jeff Erb and Brian Skelly.
