Twas a weekend of snowing, plowing, sanding and towing.
Our drivers worked overtime to ensure clients were able to get where they were going.
Most are grateful and give thanks when rescued in their moment of need
But sometimes…yes sometimes, we see awful things written in social media feeds.
Some like to play the victim, to post untruths and lies.
And not take accountability for their actions when the tow comes as a surprise.
We were hired to remove a vehicle from private property, you see.
By the business owner who found a vehicle abandoned on his property.
Off into the storm, our driver did go and performed a professional job and completed the tow.
Fast forward to the evening when the phone started ring,
And a woman was adamant that she was not paying a thing!
She was a nurse, a good person, and we tried hard to believe it to be,
But she clearly had trouble accepting any accountability.
She screamed that she would be taking the car
It was hers, by the way and we must have stolen it from a lot that wasn’t far!
She didn’t ask for a tow, so she should not have to pay.
That was her thought on how this would work, I’m sorry to say.
She needed the car for work, it was urgent you see,
Of course, we replied, we can hire a driver to release the car tonight for an additional fee.
(Yes, our drivers are wonderful, but they don’t work for us for free!)
No way, the nurse exclaimed, I’m taking my car off your lot,
I didn’t ask for this therefore I’m paying you not!
We cautioned that getting the police involved is not our preference, you see, but sometimes is necessary when people have trouble accepting accountability.
So we dispatched staff to respond to the shop,
An employee’s truck had to block her from leaving until the arrival of the cops.
Her fees added up from the $150 tow, when extra guys were called in
To deal with this sh*% show.
So the nurse took to social media, blasting and trashing our name
Playing the victim who felt she was not to blame.
Listen, we all make mistakes and or bad choices at times,
But owning responsibility for your part didn’t ever cross your mind.
So now the truth is stated, the rest of the story, as they say.
Believe what you will and have a nice day.
