🎸 FROM RAW WOOD TO SHOWPIECE ✨
There’s something special about painting a guitar.
Cars have always been a huge part of what we do at Krazy Kustoms, but guitars give us a completely different canvas—and we absolutely love taking an instrument and turning it into a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
This Fender Stratocaster came to us shipped in as raw wood. No shortcuts. We started by properly prepping and priming the body, then sanding everything smooth to create the foundation this finish deserved.
Then came the metal flake. ✨
But we don’t apply metal flake the typical way by simply loading it into clearcoat.
At Krazy Kustoms, we float the metal flake in resin, allowing us to build an incredibly deep, rich flake finish. From there, the resin is carefully sanded smooth before we move into clearcoat.
Then it’s wet sanded and buffed until that finish has the depth, clarity and glass-like shine you see here.
The matching headstock brings the whole build together. 🔥
This isn’t just painting a guitar.
It’s custom paintwork on an instrument someone is going to own, play and hopefully keep for a lifetime.
