No tricks here, Greenfield Lake Boathouse will be open on Halloween! We will be giving out one treat (free refreshment) to each paddler in costume from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., while supplies last. 🍬

Then, join us after hours to explore the lake at ghoulden hour. This family-friendly guided kayak tour will offer sights (but no frights!) of fish, reptiles, and roosting birds as we creep through the cypresses. Along the way, we will learn about the threats haunting the lake, and how protecting its water quality helps protect the Cape Fear River Basin as a whole.

We will have both single and tandem kayaks available for this paddle. Boats are limited—grab yours at tr.ee/gflboathouse before they’re gone! 👻

Head out in the field with Cape Fear River Watch to see one of our floating litter collection devices in action and help us collect valuable litter data!🥤We are hosting a pop-up cleanup from 9:30-11:30 a.m. tomorrow, September 4th. We will meet at the boathouse and hit the lake by kayak to clean up litter and performance maintenance on our Trash Trout Jr. along Squash Branch.

We will bring the cleanup supplies and kayaks—you bring your passion for clean water. We have limited spots and boats available, so be sure to secure yours if you would like to join us: tr.ee/popupcleanup. 🛶
