Brake Fluid is one of the most overlooked fluids to maintain. Many manufacturers do not have this fluid as a scheduled service interval. However Brake fluid is hydroscopic, meaning that it absorbs water. Water in the brake system can cause braking performance issues, and create deterioration of the brake fluid lines. The brake fluid system is designed to be flushed every 24 thousand miles, or 24 months, whichever comes first.
