Cruise into summer with us at the next Motors on Main Street on Friday, June 5th from 6 PM to 10 PM in downtown Whitley City.

After an incredible kickoff show in May, we’re gearing up for an even bigger night in June. The streets were packed, the cars were amazing, and the community support was unbelievable. If you thought May was good… just wait until June.

Expect another evening filled with classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, great food vendors, music, and a crowd that keeps growing every month. Whether you’re bringing a ride or just coming to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone.

Tonight is the night.

The first Motors on Main Street of 2026 kicks off this evening from 6 PM to 10 PM in downtown Whitley City, and we are ready to see Main Street come to life.

Cruise in, bring your ride, or just come out and enjoy the evening. We will have great vehicles, good food, and a crowd that always makes this event something special.

A big thank you to McCreary Tourism for sponsoring our May show.

Vendors joining us tonight include Luke 15 LLC, Bradley's Coffee & More, and SONshine Lemonade by Davis Hill Church of God Youth Group

We also invite all local candidates to come out, meet the community, and even bring a vehicle if you would like.

Road closure will begin at 4:30 PM, so plan ahead and come early.

We are looking forward to a great start to the 2026 season. See you on Main Street tonight.

‼️Public Notice: Road Closure‼️
Attention McCreary County Residents and Visitors: This is a formal notice regarding the upcoming road closure on Main Street due to the Motors on Main Street.

Effective Friday, May 1, 2026, from 4:30pm-11pm on Main Street in Whitley City, KY - Traveling north on KY-1651, the road will be closed just past EMS and will remain closed through the exit at the courthouse (Court Street / Geary Avenue).

There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to these closures, other than for emergency services. These are official road closures filed with the state and will be strictly enforced. All vehicles parked along Main Street during these specified hours must be relocated. Any vehicles remaining on Main Street after the closure begins will be subject to towing at the owner's expense.

Detours will be in place, and drivers are expected to plan accordingly. Failure to comply with the road closure or detour routes may result in penalties at the driver's expense.

We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring the safety of event participants and the smooth operation of these important community events.

The first Motors on Main Street of 2026 is happening this Friday, May 1st from 6 PM to 10 PM in downtown Whitley City.

We’re kicking off the season with some great vendors, including Bradley's Gourmet Coffee & More, SONshine Lemonade by Davis Hill Church of God Youth Group and Luke 15 LLC so come thirsty, hungry and ready to enjoy the evening.

May’s show is proudly sponsored by McCreary Tourism, helping us bring this event to the community.

We would also like to invite all local candidates to come out, spend time with the community, and enjoy the night. Feel free to bring a car and be part of the show.

It’s the perfect way to start the season, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Update- a heavy sweep has been found! Thank you to everyone that has reached out to help and to everyone sharing our post! We greatly appreciate you!

We need your help! We are in need of a Heavy Sweep for the McCreary Gravel Rally on Saturday, April 25th.

Our original person is no longer able to make it, so we are looking for someone who can step in and help us out.

This is an important role for the rally. The heavy sweep will follow the course behind the cars and assist with pulling out any vehicles that may slide off or need help along the route.

Vehicle requirements:
3/4 ton or 1 ton pickup (non-dually preferred)
Large SUVs such as Suburban-type vehicles are also suitable

A ham radio operator will be provided to ride with you for communication throughout the course.

What’s provided:
Fuel card
Event t-shirts
Lunch
Access to the Awards Party Saturday night

If you have the right vehicle and experience and can help us out, please message us as soon as possible.

Snow on the ground and winter in the air has us dreaming of warmer nights and shiny chrome. Who else is over this cold and ready for some car shows??? ✋🏻

We’re counting down to the return of Motors on Main Street, and our first car show of the season is rolling in Friday, May 1 from 6:00 PM–10:00 PM!

There’s nothing better than cool cars, classic rides, engines rumbling through downtown, and a great community atmosphere. Mark your calendars now — spring will be here before we know it, and Main Street will be the place to be.
