Sometimes the pictures from an inspection don’t look like much — until you know what you’re looking at.

This 2012 Chevy Silverado is getting new brakes & rotors, but there were a few other things we wanted to point out and explain.

- Oil pan leak — visible oil leakage that should be monitored and addressed before it worsens.

-Brake fluid tested: in the RED means a lot of water moisture. Brake fluid naturally absorbs moisture over time, but once that level gets too high, it can lower the fluid’s boiling point, cause internal corrosion, and affect braking performance. A brake fluid flush was recommended.

-Cab mount bushings are also worn/damaged. These bushings cushion the cab from the frame, helping reduce vibration and movement. When they deteriorate, you may notice clunking, extra vibration, or a rougher ride.

We don’t just want to show you what we find — we want you to understand what you’re looking at and why it matters. 🤝🏼

These tires have been worn down far enough that the cords and wires are showing — and at this point, they’re no longer safe to drive on.

We understand times get tough and sometimes replacing tires gets pushed back because the money simply isn’t there. But once a tire reaches this point, it’s not something you want to chance. Exposed cords mean the tire’s internal structure is compromised, increasing the risk of a blowout, loss of control, and potentially an accident.

A tire can be replaced. Your safety can’t.

If your tires are looking like this, please don’t wait until something happens!

Did we mention cabin air filters can get dirty too? 👀

They collect dust, dirt, pollen, leaves, & debris over time. A clogged filter can restrict airflow, make your A/C and heat work harder, cause funky smells, & reduce defroster performance.

It’s a small filter, but it can make a big difference in your HVAC system & the air you breathe!

This truck came in with a sway bar & steering linkage ball joint that needed to be replaced. You can actually move the joint by hand, & that clanking you hear? That shouldn’t sound like that.

Worn ball joints can cause clunking or knocking noises, especially over bumps, rough roads, or when turning. As the wear gets worse, you can experience loose or wandering steering, uneven tire wear, poor handling, & decreased control.

In severe cases, a failed ball joint can separate & cause the wheel/suspension to shift unexpectedly.

If your vehicle is clunking, knocking, or feeling loose—get it checked before a small repair turns into a major problem.❗️❗️

Uh Oh of The Day😐

Found a transmission harness rubbing against the front driveshaft. That spinning driveshaft has been eating through the harness, leaving the wiring exposed.

This can happen when a harness clip or retainer breaks, comes loose, or the wiring was routed incorrectly during previous work.

What looks like minor rubbing can turn into damaged wiring, electrical faults, transmission issues, & a much bigger repair.

This is exactly why proper routing and securing of wiring matters.

Stop overlooking your battery. 🤷🏼‍♀️

That nasty corrosion around your battery terminals isn’t just ugly—it can cause poor connections, hard starts, charging issues, & eventually leave you sitting somewhere you really don’t want to be.

If your terminals look like this, it’s time to stop ignoring it.

A little maintenance now can save you from a dead battery & a much bigger headache later.

Check your battery. Check your terminals. Don’t wait until it won’t start. 😉
