There is a (non-WBMC) rider gathering at the Blue Gate Bakery this Sunday, September 28 around 9 am-ish. It is at 2 US-7 in Sharon, CT.

It looks like a nice place. Not sure if I'm going and will send out WBMC blurb before hand if I do. It's a great time of year for a ride !

A very nice late summer ride is in the books. Pictured in Woodstock are Ed, Max, Jerry (new to the group) and Todd, with Rob (not pictured) behind the camera . Jay was with us in Cold Spring for coffee, then headed back to CT and the rest of the group headed north across Ulster County back roads. We could not have asked for a nicer riding day or group !!

So, We had two posses out riding today … from the north ( cross river ) ventured Jay, Ray and Migel and from the south ( Millwood ) we had Murray, Ed, Eddie, Rob and Todd .

Perfect riding (or anything) weather…

The south group rode up the very eastern-most part of NY roads, many of which were new to me. We got to our half way point early, and opted to continue further north to Kent for lunch.

On rt 7 south of Kent, we saw the cross river boys wiz past us heading south…

The ride home was fun, with me running very low on fuel, after having to backtrack several miles due to two bridge closures … but made it to a gas station without having to push it !

Had a great ride starting in Fishkill, New York, all the way up to Middleburgh, New York. Had a nice brunch. Then split off back home. Perfect day. Thanks Jay, Todd, Niels, Miguel, Eric and Chaithra.

Good news, the Falls Village Cafe location has reopened as the Off The Trail Cafe. Coffee, sandwiches, baked goods.

Another great pit stop is the Cornwall Bridge Market a few miles north of Kent. Great food and baked goods. Alternative to Wilson’s in Kent if overly busy.

We were led by Todd on a smooth back road ride up to Kent Connecticut. We enjoyed a nice brunch and great conversation. Some of us had to head home a little early as the rest continued their journey. Bikes And Breakfast was another success. Thanks again to Cold Starts Moto in Coldspring, New York for hosting such a nice turnout

12 intrepid riders answered the “let’s ride” whistle. Always a great and interesting riding group. Final destination Moto Cafe (Dietrich met us there on his electro-moto)and Back Bar next door for lunch. Cumin Tater Tots were the popular indulgence.

Great roads, minimal traffic allowed a brisk pace about 250 miles round trip through beautiful countryside. Clear skies enabled distant Mountain Views (CAVU).
