This is one of the most critical upgrades for the Nissan VQ35HR engine / Nissan VQ37VHR engine platforms that too many people overlook.

The factory paper gaskets/hardware are known to fail over time, leading to low oil pressure, timing issues, and eventually catastrophic engine damage.

Well look what rolled into the shop… the OG record-breaking kit. 👀🔥

If you’re not familiar with this setup, it once held the 1/4-mile AND 1/2-mile records for the platform ,and it still holds the 1/2-mile record today.

Back when this kit was built, it pushed the VQ platform into territory that not many people were willing to go. In my opinion, it’s a piece of VQ history.
This setup has changed hands a few times over the years until it eventually landed with .bikez and now it’s in the shop getting a new life with a hood exit setup.

This whole setup sits behind the OEM radiator support.

But the next chapter is going to look a little different,
This kit is heading to the drift track.
Same legendary setup — just living life sideways instead of in a straight line.
And who knows… maybe one day it’ll make its way back to the drag strip to remind people what it’s capable of. 👀

If you’re doing gallery gaskets, you already know this is the center piece of the job.

Now every gallery gasket service will include a fully restored timing cover — no additional cost, no added wait time.
No more crusty covers. No more cutting corners. Just clean, properly refinished parts going back on your engine the right way.
Other colors are available (custom colors will require lead time).

Nothing to special with this one but from time to time i will do small jobs/ walk in work! was having some clearance issues with his catch can and supercharger pulleys. New mounting points and pushed it closer to the radiator gave a ton more room with out a worry! Afterwards sent to for wrinkle black coating.

Low milage 370z came in for preventive maintenance, the dreaded gallery gaskets. With only 60k miles on the dash and a healthy engine now was the time to do it before failure. To no surprise a few of the hardware were already loose. A set of gaskets and hardware matched with a brand new oem water pump this Z is ready to go back home.

Well, it was good until it wasn't. Stood up until midnight last night to get the new differential back together, with all the progress we were making at Fl2k with the new t56 we really wanted to get back out there as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it was a 1 and done type of day for us. Not sure the extent of the damages yet but it seems like we broke the Pinion in the differential.

In the past 2 seasons, we have broken 6 of these differentials, For us the race season is over, and it's time to get either a 9" or an 8.8 in the car.

We will be adding a few other upgrades as well to the car while it is sleeping for the wintertime.
