The Dealership of Distinction status is the most prestigious and coveted honor that Acura can grant to its dealerships. The status recognizes those dealership teams that demonstrate superior achievement in customer satisfaction, sales and service training, customer follow-up, and business management. Acura dealerships are given the year to achieve the rigorous set of objectives and prove they are worthy of Acura's most prestigious award. All criteria are established to enhance the client experience; most measures are based on actual client feedback and survey scores. To achieve success in the program, a total commitment to excellence by the entire dealership team is required. More than 270 Acura dealerships participated in the 2011 Precision Team program and only 96 earned the 2011 Dealership of Distinction status.

Furthermore, our dealership has the distinction of being EXCELL validated, which ensures that all the management tools are in place and functioning for Acuras' Continuous Improvement Process to work throughout the dealership. An acronym for Exceeding Customers Expectation Levels for Life, the EXCELL program is used as a tool to facilitate our continuous evaluation of our customers' experience; and, then, it is used to help us periodically make the necessary changes in the dealership's processes to increase the value you receive for the dollars you spend with us. Edwards Deming, a consultant and academic scholar recognized as the father of the total quality management movement and a proponent of lifelong learning, "If you can't describe what you are doing as a process, you don't know what you're doing." A dealership that has achieved EXCELL Validation has demonstrated that it does know what it's doing. Our dealership has consistently shown our ability to successfully implement EXCELL's basic concepts and processes. We have demonstrated to our customers, our community, and our competition that we have answered the customer service challenge, and we have been recognized for our hard work by Acura as a result. Our EXCELL Facilitator, Melissa Hansen Kann, continuously reviews our dealership's operation to review our performance in a variety of categories, as well as making sure that we meet Acuras' rigorous criteria. Validation is the process Acura uses to recognize dealers that have embraced Acuras' Continuous Improvement Process and have made it part of their organization's culture. This culture lives within our dealership and is practiced on a daily basis. McGrath Acura of Westmont has been EXCELL Validated each and every year of the program's existence. Not all Acura dealerships meet these criteria, nor do they embrace the tenets of the Continuous Improvement Process.
