Pre-purchase vehicle scan! I can’t emphasize this enough. And it’s not something you can do with a generic OBD2 scanner. Call me before you buy a used vehicle.

I had another one today that was low on oil. It may have been from a faulty filter seal, but the lesson is the same…check your oil on the regular.

Check your oil, folks (weekly or monthly). I have done several oil changes lately where the vehicle was quite low on oil. It only takes a few minutes and could save you an engine replacement.
