The owners, Wayne "Jr" and Sarah LaFlamme purchased the former Trasko's Garage on 33 Fairfield Ave in Westfield, MA continuing a long family owned tradition. Jr has dreamed of opening his own auto repair shop ever since he was a kid. He was introduced to the industry by helping out his Uncle John in his house garage. Jr went on to earn his automotive degree. He enjoys working on vehicles and loves what he does. He has 25 years of experience in the auto and truck industry and is ASE Certified. Sarah earned her Bachelor's of Business degree from Bay Bath University and has aspired to be a small business owner for most of her life. We work on all makes and models including trucks and trailers. CAR MYTH MONDAY: "My transmission fluid is 'lifetime' - I never need to change it." ❌

Automatic, CVT, or manual: if your manual says "sealed for life," here’s the reality:

• "Lifetime" = Warranty Life: To automakers, "lifetime" usually just means 60k–100k miles. After that, failures are on your dime.

• Automatics: Heat breaks down fluid, and clutch dust clogs sensitive valve bodies.

• Manuals: Shifting sheds brass synchro dust, turning old gear oil into liquid sandpaper.

• What Engineers Say: Gearbox builders (ZF, Aisin, Tremec) recommend fresh fluid every 50k–90k miles.

Big news around the shop: we decided to take a Chance on our newest technician intern… literally! Meet Chance! 👋🔧

He’s officially joined our crew, getting his hands dirty shadowing our senior techs, learning the ropes, and helping keep your vehicles on the road safely.

Coming in as a senior from Westfield High School, he's putting in his work both in the classroom and in the shop. 📕✏

We are always trying to get younger generations involved and introduced to the automotive industry, and that's something we're always planning for.

Our shop will be closed on Monday, September 7th so our hard-working team can spend some well-deserved time off with family and friends.

We will reopen and resume our regular business hours on Tuesday morning at our normal opening time.
