Recently, Brian Nelson acquired a 2012 Jeep JK and contacted us to discuss restoration options. Although the interior was in excellent condition, considering its age, the exterior presented a different scenario, with a worn appearance typical of a 14-year-old vehicle. The clear coat had started to deteriorate, and there was visible damage to the rear passenger quarter panel, which was chipping and exhibiting rust. Consequently, water was seeping into the rear, causing severe interior rust. The fenders had faded, a common issue with older Jeeps, and the headlights displayed significant oxidation. We began the restoration process on Tuesday, starting with a thorough detail of the interior and exterior. This was followed by a complete paint correction and polishing of the fenders to remove oxidation. We then addressed the damaged quarter panel, repainting it to prevent further rust and chipping. The team also refinished the plastic trim, door handles, and mirrors to their original factory finish. The headlights were wet sanded and polished to remove oxidation. After restoring the Jeep to its factory appearance, we applied a System X MaxG+ 10-year ceramic coating to the entire vehicle, ensuring the clear coat, fenders, and headlights will remain in excellent condition for the next decade. Brian was extremely satisfied with the results when he picked up his Jeep, and it is likely that he was eager to take it for a cruise last night!
