Headlights should be turned on from 30 minutes after sunset until 30 minutes before sunrise, and also during poor visibility conditions such as rain or fog. It's important to ensure visibility for yourself and others on the road

Headlight Usage Guidelines
Understanding when to use headlights is crucial for safety.

Sunset to Sunrise — Headlights must be on from 30 minutes after sunset until 30 minutes before sunrise.
Poor Weather — Use headlights in rain, fog, or snow to improve visibility.
Daytime Use — Some states require headlights when windshield wipers are in use.
Early Activation — It's advisable to turn on headlights before sunset in low-light conditions.

We offer an advanced driver education program that goes beyond the typical driving school experience. We bring classroom learning into the car through hands-on instruction tailored to each student’s individual learning style. Every student learns differently—and at a different pace—so we’ve moved away from traditional classroom teaching.

That's why we partner with Pass Driver Ed online, students can learn at home when they want and work through the material at their own pace. They can revisit lessons, reread information, and take the time they need to understand each concept. In my years of teaching, I’ve found this to be one of the most effective ways to learn. Its been so successful in fact- Did you know that only 13% of students even go to a classroom setting. 87% of students learn everything online as we are almost totally digital. My online students did better than my classroom students-so we made the change.

Choosing a driving school is an important decision. Quality instruction takes time, skill, and dedication—so choose wisely. We provide quality service here at OnPoint. Anything less than a quality Instructor may just cost you down the road. Don't shortcut good drivers education.

And thank you to Sheena Ahmed, whoever you are, for sharing the reminder: “Know your worth.”

Why are the first 10 minutes of rain the most dangerous for driving?

The first 10 minutes of rain are most dangerous because rainwater lifts accumulated road oils, grease, and fluids from the pavement, creating a slippery oil-water mixture. This emulsion slashes tire traction by 30-40% compared to clean wet roads. After 10-15 minutes of continuous rainfall, water flow washes away this oil layer, considerably improving road surface conditions

⚠️ Don’t Ignore It: What the Low Tire Pressure Light Means

• Seeing the (!) symbol pop up on your instrument cluster can be stressful, but it is just your car's way of keeping you safe! Maintaining proper tire pressure ensures better mileage, a smoother ride, and longer tire life. Keep these steps in mind:
• 📊 Instrument Cluster: The warning light appears directly on your dashboard screen to alert you instantly.
• 🛞 Check All 4 Tires: Even if only one tire triggers the sensor, always inspect all four wheels to ensure they match your vehicle's recommended PSI.
• 🔌 Tire Valve Sensor: Modern cars use built-in sensors on the tire valve to track air levels in real-time.
💡 Safety Tip: Changes in outdoor temperature can cause your tire pressure to drop suddenly, especially when winter hits. Check your pressure monthly!

In Ohio, drivers are advised not to sit in the middle of intersections to avoid blocking traffic and to ensure safety. Stopping in the intersection can impede the flow of vehicles and create hazards for other drivers and pedestrians

Importance of Not Blocking Intersections
Understanding the reasons behind this traffic rule is crucial.

Traffic Flow — Stopping in the middle of an intersection disrupts the movement of other vehicles, leading to congestion.
Safety Hazards — It increases the risk of collisions, as other drivers may not anticipate a vehicle blocking their path.
Legal Implications — Ohio law may penalize drivers who obstruct intersections, emphasizing the importance of compliance.
Pedestrian Safety — Blocking intersections can endanger pedestrians trying to cross, as visibility is reduced.
