Whether you’re a Patriot, Car Collector, Route 66 Enthusiast, veteran or active military — or just someone who likes to have a “Festival Good Time” — the Route 66 PatriotFest is some place you’ll want to be on Saturday, Memorial Day weekend. The event will host the extremely popular Route 66 Patriot Cruise. A flag ceremony featuring several area Junior ROTC programs will open the festival at the R

oute 66 Historical Village, 3770 Southwest Blvd. The Route 66 Car Show, military displays, and a FREE KidZone open directly afterwards. Here is a complete list of the day’s activities:
• Route 66 Car/Motorcycle Cruise
• Route 66 Car Show (with more than a dozen classes, including foreign, domestic, motorcycles, and RVs)
• Military displays and activities
• A Super Fun FREE KidZone
• Bands and entertainment throughout the day
• Patriotic Pet Show
• Miss Route 66 PinUp Contest
• The Frisco 4500 Meteor Train, Garden Railroad Train exhibit, and North America’s tallest Oil Derrick
• Favorite Food Trucks
• Arts and Craft Vendors

The Car Cruise (accompanied by a motorcycle escort) will begin at the Route 66 Gateway on Tulsa’s eastside at East Central High School and end at the west Route 66 Gateway in Historic Red Fork. As the Cruise travels through Tulsa on Old Route 66 it will pass numerous historic landmarks and businesses that dot Tulsa’s portion of The Mother Road. Proceeds benefit Folds of Honor and other local veteran/military groups.
