Lorenz Racing & Performance is back from the 2026 GS Nationals! It was another great year of racing, car shows and Buick's!!

This year the rain got some of the event with no track racing Wednesday but cleared up for Thursday and Friday and didnt return until later in the day Saturday. Even though several classes did not get to finish, it was still an awesome event! Race director John Csordas Jr., the track staff at Beech Bend and the volunteers were on point and were able to give us all a great track to race on with incredible organization! We cant thank them all enough for EVERYTHING!

The "Old Yeller" had a new combo for this year. We started out the week with a 9.99 and moved up with a 9.66. Then managed the #1 qualifier position with a 9.43. We received the $100 dollar bonus from RJC Racing for the #1 qualifying position! We cant thank Jason Cramer of RJC enough for all his support of many classes over all these years!! Unfortunately, due to all the rain we've had this spring, we didnt get much testing at all and the car had some fueling issues crop up and we opted to not run the car in eliminations. BIG congrats go out to the class RRA David Day on his win this year! Bobby would have been so happy for you!!

Congrats to long time friend and customer Marty Green! His beautiful gray LRP built street "SIX2GO" scored a Top 25 in the packed car show!

Big congrats goes out to Dave Fiscus of Fiscus Motorsports for the split win in TSO due to the rain!

Lorenz Racing & Performance is back in Bowling Green Kentucky at Beach Bend Raceway Park for the 2026 45th running of the Buick GSCA Nationals!! The weather later this week is looking great for racing!

We brought our '87 Turbo Regal Limited "Old Yeller" sleeper test car again to race in Turbo Hot Street!

Our NEW 2026 design t-shirts and hoodies are back in stock and are available in black and dark grey!

As many of you know the world and the Buick community lost a very good man this past November. Bob Slussler also known as "Bobby Buick". We met Bob almost 30 years ago at the GS Nationals and quickly became great friends. He was a man that was loved by so many. Bob was more than just a Buick enthusiast. He was the kind of guy that would help anyone and share his knowledge of Buick's to help other people achieve their goals. Bob never met a stranger. Buick's ran in his blood and he was at all the Buick events, especially the GS Nationals. Bob created the popular "Turbo Pro Bracket" class that uses a pro tree with a bracket style race format.

Lorenz Racing & Performance is celebrating Bob's life and memory with our T shirts & hoodies this year. It features Bob's Turbo Buick V6 pulling the BIG WHEELS UP launches he was so well known for! We miss and love you Bob!! RIP my friend.

We have brought a bunch of new performance parts with us!! Our Lorenz Racing billet manual boost controllers, XP fuel pumps kits, Firecore plug wires, Johnson roller lifters and more! We have also brought along some great used parts as well!

Marty Green of MRG Tools has brought alot of Snap-On tools gear also! T shirts, hoodies and beach towels!!

Spring is in the air once again at Lorenz Racing & Performance!! Winter is finally over!!

The 45th GS Nationals in Bowling Green Kentucky is already upon us next week and Lorenz Racing has been sending out all our winter builds!!

8 more Intercooled Turbo Regals heading out the door and back to their happy owners!! From Stage 2 builds, forged 109 builds, stock rebuilds and low mile original freshen up cars!! We did a little bit of everything this winter! Even "Old Yeller" got some much needed updates!

Cars in from Canada, Wisconsin, Kentucky, West Virgina, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Ohio!

Work consisting of upgrading fuel systems, cooling systems, ignition systems, powermaster brake system updates, Janis Stage 1, 2 and 3 transmission builds, roller cams, bigger turbos, aluminum & cast iron ported heads, timing chain and gear updates, new rear main seals, complete gasket replacement, gauges, performance & factory brake upgrades, stock and performance suspension updates, axle & differential upgrades, alcohol injection, E85 fuel systems with aftermarket fuel management systems and much more!!

Several cars also recieved total cosmetic make overs! Spoolfool bumper fillers, multi stage paint corrections with coatings and sealants, paintless dent & ding removal, hail damage repair from last years GS Nationals and complete interior and exterior detail work to bring these cars back to phenomenal show winners!!

**Here it is again for 2026!! Year 3 of Lorenz Racing & Performance presents Buicks at Dragway 42!!**

October 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2026!!

Lorenz Racing & Performance has teamed up once again with Hartline Performance and the Cadillac Attack Race to offer a 3 day Buick event at one of the nicest racing facilities in the country!! Darana's Dragway 42 in West Salem Ohio!! Last year even more people ran their personal best E/Ts and MPH at this event!!

The Buick side of this event is open to anything Buick powered! There will be all the heads up, bracket, and idex classes! We're even doing a Buick vs Cadillac class! Test and tune lanes will be available as well! In addition to the racing there will also be a car show on Saturday the 3rd!!

Thursday October 1st will be a track rental for test and tune and a welcome day for racers and spectators to get settled in, drop trailers off and free over night camping is available.

There will also be a KICK OFF PARTY with FREE food and entertainment Thursday evening after the track rental!!

Friday & Saturday October 2nd & 3rd will be qualifying and full racing programs!

Near by hotels in Ashland, Wooster, Seville and Mansfield are all within 10 to 30 minutes from the track and are listed below.

Ticket prices and options are the same for the Cadillac Attack and the Buicks. Prices are the exact same as last year.

Thousands of dollars worth of door prizes, raffles, and give aways from all our sponsors and vendors will be happening all 3 days!!

Thursday October 2nd will kick off with the track rental T&T and will be $250 per car/driver CASH ONLY. General admission for spectators, trailer drop off and free camping over night.

Gates Open at 9:00am
Track is hot at 10am to 5pm

Friday & Saturday October 2nd and 3rd. Race entry will be $150 per car/driver per day CASH ONLY but IF paying for both days together total will $275. General admission for spectators is $25. Kids 10 and under are FREE.

Saturdays car show will be a flat $40 dollar entry fee for car and driver. Car show registration begins at 8am till 12 noon. Trophy's will be awarded and dozens of door prizes and raffles will be going on and given away also!!

Lorenz Racing & Performance this fall completed 3 more, 1 owner, ultra low mile 1987 Buick Grand Nationals!

These cars were in from Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio! Miles were from 5k, 9k and 17k original miles! All three of these cars had been sitting for several decades with a ton of dust, mold, spider webs, original flat tires and old gas! See some of the before and after pictures of these cars!

All three received all of our standard maintenance updates with complete new fuel systems, cooling system updates with new radiators, hoses, updated the brake systems, ignition systems, all new fluids, exhaust systems, tires and sealed up alot of oil leaks with new rear main seals and new engine gaskets throughout! These cars were then dialed in on the DynoJet dyno for excellent performance and drivability!

They recieved full cosmetic make overs with Spoolfool bumper fillers, some new emblems, some bezel refreshing, multi stage paint corrections, paintless dent & ding removal and all out detail work to bring these cars back to stunning show room condition!

2025 LORENZ RACING'S BUICK'S AT DRAGWAY 42 IS IN THE BOOKS!!

Lorenz Racing & Performance held our 2nd Buicks at Dragway 42 event this past weekend! Teaming up with Hartline Performance and the Cadillac Attack race! Once again, it did not disappoint!!

The Buick community came out to represent and support this race!! Racers traveling from as far west as California to northeast as far as Maine!! From Turbo Regals to Grand Sports with some of the quickest and baddest Cadillacs in the country! Great weather with so many great people, this event had everything!

We again had all the heads up Turbo Buick classes that the GS Nationals are known for along with bracket classes for all our V8 cars!!

Things kicked off Thursday with a track rental test & tune. We had an amazing turn out with two dozen cars testing, event racers, spectators and campers arriving and setting up their pits! Thursday evening after the track rental we had the kick off party social with DJ Dan on the tunes with free food, drinks and alot of great fun!!

Friday things started off with dozens more racers & spectators arriving!! A drivers meeting to go over everything about the race was held before the track went hot with some testing & tuning. The race then moved into qualifying for all the Buick and Cadillac classes and Friday bracket race was under way! Personal bests and ultra fast times were happening again all day and track prep was stellar again! Dozens of door prizes started being announced!!

Saturday another drivers meeting was held to go over the race before eliminations began and to thank everyone who came out to the event! To say the racing was phenomenal was an understatement!! Many cars again setting more personal bests! The car show was a big hit with over 40 cars in attendance! Dozens more door prizes were given out at the car show!!

Lorenz Racing had a great weekend on top of the race and car show being a great success!

Our TSM GN Qualified #2 with a 8.87@154 to Paul's DuBois 8.84@154. It ran another 8.87@154 in the finals to winner Paul DuBois who ran a 8.74@154. Big congrats to Paul!

We'd like to thank track manager Mary Anne Matcham for helping us make the event run so smooth! The hospitality and willingness to work with everyone involved and do whatever it takes to make things great was absolutely fantastic once again!!

We want to thank Cal Hartline & Holly Hartline of Hartline Performance for all their help and allowing us to team up again with them and be part of this great Cadillac Attack event!! This event gives the Buick community another race and show to enjoy and we appreciate it so much! We also would like to congratulate Jake Hartline on his win! The hours of repairs Jake and his crew made after significant damage the car sustained during a qualifying run was amazing!
