We got into karting after I raced cars for 20+ years when my son started karting in 2004. We ran a father/son team for 3 years and then started a professional team and a kart shop in Indianapolis, Indiana, hence Evolution Karting. From a shop less than a mile from the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway we sold and supported CRG and Top-Kart brand go karts and ran a very successful team racing the
SKUSA Great Lakes (later Great Lakes Pro Tour) winning many races and championships from 2007 to 20011 with 6-8 drivers under our tent at most events. Along with my son Cole and Garrick Miller, a longtime fixture of Indiana shifter kart racing, we were considered one of "THE" top teams running in the Midwest, especially in the shifter and TAG classes. In 2011 we merged Evolution Karting's shifter program into MKP racing and switched to the Birel chassis line and stopped using the Evolution Karting name. Also in 2011 we moved to Florida for business reasons (non-karting) but stayed involved in the karting. After briefly operating the Palm Beach kart track, we decided to resurrect the Evolution Karting brand. We have continued to race shifter karts throughout Florida and the rest of the country including the Northeast Shifter Kart Series and have won races at most of the Florida tracks including Homestead, Palm Beach, Ocala and Jacksonville. We have decided to offer at-track support to a very limited number of customers in Florida for all of the Florida Winter Tour, Florida Pro Kart Series and local races at Palm Beach and Homestead. We are focusing on shifter karts with KZ, Honda and ROK shifter engines available. We will Arrive and Drive packages using our best equipment and provide personalized intense support to drivers we agree to work with. and offer at-track support and kart and motor package rentals in South Florida.
