Phi Rho Racing Phi Rho Racing is Purdue University's only sorority motorsports team, created through the Alpha Chapter of Phi Sigma Rho.

We have been competing in Purdue University's annual Grand Prix race since the 90's! This page is for the grand prix team of Phi Sigma Rho, a sorority for women in engineering at Purdue University. Purdue's annual Grand Prix, called the the “The Greatest Spectacle in College Racing,” is a go kart race consisting of 33 drivers and teams that participate in the 160-lap or 50 mile race each spring. O

rganizations that are involved spend many hours building, adjusting, and running their kart. Last year, we made Phi Rho Racing history when our driver earned the "Most Improved Position" award for starting the race in 32nd and finishing 12th! As this is a hugely competitive event, it comes with a large budget. We have a sponsorship packet that goes into more details about our team history, plans for the season, and the various sponsorship levels available upon request.
