When Collision Safety Consultants of UT office opened up many people led me to believe that the Utah Insurance Department will not do much when consumers have problems with insurers.

This Progressive claim drug on and on for months on end with no response from the adjuster, I knew something wasn't being handled correctly especially after the claim was outright denied.

I decided contacting the Utah Insurance Department was a last ditch effort but what could it hurt?

About 6 weeks after the complaint was submitted I recieved a phone call from the adjuster who stated they were reversing their decision and paying the full diminished value demand. When pressed about the change of heart, she said it was a supervisor's decision. I had an inkling of what that meant but it wasn't until I recieved these 2 documents from the insurance department that it was confirmed and what I was told when I first started this journey was invalidated.

How about $2,700 more for the total loss of this Mazda?

Today's client was worried about getting a fair settlement. He did his own research before contacting me and found he could not replace his vehicle with a similar vehicle for the$5,845 he was being offered.

A few short weeks later and I was able to push his insurance company to pay $8,565.56 for the car.

This client had owned their truck for less than a month.

When I initially looked at what was offered (a free service btw) I told them $25,825, a $2,169 improvement on what they were offered from their insurer.

It settled at $26,000 even a little higher than my original estimate. Sometimes it ends up higher, sometimes it ends up lower, I've even gotten it to the dollar before.

I was asked not to share ALL the details. A customer with a brand new 2025 Z06 called me. The can only had 1106 miles and he told me it was hit by a distracted driver. The insurance company paid $19,376.19 to repair it. He asked the adjuster to pay him for the accelerated depreciation of his brand new Corvette caused by their customer. We were hired by the Vette owner and submitted our report. The independent appraiser for the insurance company said the diminished value was only $25,094.06 according to their calculations. After a couple emails and a phone call we agreed the insurance company owed him $35,000. Never trust the company that owes you money to determine how much money they owe you. When you’re in a wreck, we help you get diminished value check.
