When Collision Safety Consultants of UT office opened up many people led me to believe that the Utah Insurance Department will not do much when consumers have problems with insurers.
This Progressive claim drug on and on for months on end with no response from the adjuster, I knew something wasn't being handled correctly especially after the claim was outright denied.
I decided contacting the Utah Insurance Department was a last ditch effort but what could it hurt?
About 6 weeks after the complaint was submitted I recieved a phone call from the adjuster who stated they were reversing their decision and paying the full diminished value demand. When pressed about the change of heart, she said it was a supervisor's decision. I had an inkling of what that meant but it wasn't until I recieved these 2 documents from the insurance department that it was confirmed and what I was told when I first started this journey was invalidated.
