I’m reaching out to the recovery community.

As many of you know, we recently lost my son, Braxton, to addiction. I’ve been on both sides of this disease—as a recovering addict and as the father of an addict. I’ve seen the pain, the heartbreak, the hope, and the miracles that recovery can bring.

In Braxton’s memory, I’m exploring ways to help other addicts and families who are walking this difficult road. I’m interested in connecting with:

• Recovery podcasts
• Treatment centers and rehabs
• Recovery coaches and counselors
• Sober living programs
• Recovery advocates
• Families affected by addiction
• Anyone passionate about helping people find hope and healing

My vision is to create something meaningful that turns tragedy into purpose—whether that’s a scholarship, recovery fund, mentorship program, or community resource.

If you host a podcast, work in recovery, know someone I should connect with, or simply have ideas, please reach out to me or tag them in the comments.

I don’t want Braxton’s story to end with his death. I want it to help save lives.

Time is the one thing we all spend at the same rate, yet value so differently. It is perishable. Once a moment passes, it can never be reclaimed. Someday, we will deeply miss the conversations with our parents, the laughter of our children, and the ordinary days we once rushed through. That’s why being fully present matters. Not distracted. Not altered. Just there. Time can be measured in seconds and years, but its true worth is beyond measure. Time is priceless. Spend it wisely.

TAKE THE LEAP
White-knuckle uncertainty comes in every season of life. A new job, relationship, loss, or dream can feel terrifying. Like whitewater rafting or skydiving, fear grips us before the leap. Yet growth lives on the other side of uncertainty. What begins as fear often becomes confidence, joy, wisdom, and exhilaration.

A winning mindset is simple: find a solution, take action, repeat. No hiding. No quitting. No waiting for perfect conditions.

My mom was my lighthouse my entire life. Her voice, her wisdom, her love, her belief in me carried me through storms. Now she’s gone, and some days feel like that falling dream you can’t wake up from. But I will not stay down there. I will show up. I will keep moving FORWARD.

I will honor my mom, my dad, my sons, my grandson, and everyone I love by how I live, fight, lead, and refuse to surrender.

Your attitude controls your aptitude more than talent ever will. E+R=O.

The event is rarely the problem, your response is. Two people can face the same storm and walk away with different outcomes. One grows stronger. One quits. Energy, effort, belief, and response shape your ceiling.

Guard your mindset like your future depends on it.

Missing is relative.

Babe Ruth hit 714 home runs, but he also struck out 1,330 times. Pete Rose collected 4,256 hits, yet it took 14,053 at-bats to get them. Greatness isn’t the absence of failure — it’s persistence through it.

Every strikeout, every missed opportunity, and every setback is part of the journey. We may fail at times, but we are not failures. The only true failure is quitting.

Keep swinging, keep showing up, and keep moving FORWARD.

If you were put on trial for investing in yourself, would the verdict be guilty or not guilty? What evidence would you bring to court? Your books? Your journal? Your workouts? Your calls? Your sacrifices? Your discipline when nobody was watching? The jury doesn’t care about intentions. They care about evidence. Every day you’re building a case.

The question is simple: are your actions proving you’re committed to becoming your best self, or are they proving excuses?

Commitment is doing the work before the reward shows up. The paycheck, applause, or results can’t control your effort or attitude. Figure it out because growth matters. Show up because discipline builds character. Every hard moment is a chance to become stronger, wiser, tougher, and more dependable. Become the kind of person who keeps going anyway.
