Teamwork makes the dream work… especially when a job needs to get done quickly!

When asked why three of our bench team members were all working on the same pattern, one answered, “Because we love being together.” 😂

We’ll let you decide how much of that answer was sincere and how much was just for our benefit. These guys have worked together for years, have a great friendship, and know how to get the job done. They just don’t usually need to talk about it! Sometimes teamwork looks like guys quietly doing what needs to be done. Sometimes it looks like collaboration, and that's what today looks like.

Either way, we’re thankful for a team that knows how to work together!

🎉 Here’s to Danny’s 20-Year Work Anniversary! 🎉

Danny came to Northbend Pattern because it was time to get a “real job.” Twenty years later, we’re pretty glad he did! 😂

Danny has been an integral part of the Northbend team, he is our lathe "team" so he's pretty good at keeping our lathe work turning (yes, we went there 😉) and playing an important role in what we do every day.

Around here, there’s a special kind of friendship, “work friends, but not real friends.” You get along great at work, but never actually see each other outside of it. After two decades, I think those friendships run pretty deep if ever a need were to arise! 😂 We appreciate the laughs, the teamwork, and all the years Danny has been part of the crew.

Danny, thanks for 20 years of hard work and being part of the Northbend Pattern team. We’re glad that “real job” worked out so well!

When your shop foreman sends a picture of the boss, HR, and the boss’s wife visiting your production supervisor in the hospital… you KNOW it needs to be shared. 😂

Throwback Thursday + Thankful Thursday = the perfect excuse to finally give this guy his moment!

A little over two years ago, Avery Michael joined the NBP crew. He had always gone by Avery, but when he started working here, he decided to go by Mike. So if you know him from NBP, you probably know him as Mike. If you see the name he writes down for pretty much anything, you’ll find Avery. 😂

Before NBP, Avery worked at Skyline Chili while he was in high school. And apparently, when you have a good employee, you don't let them get away that easily. When Avery started at NBP, his Skyline boss convinced him to come back and moonlight on the weekends for a while. Because apparently having one job wasn't enough. 😉

And speaking of moonlighting… here's a little throwback to the days when our current NBP boss was paying for his Skyline and Avery was on the other side of the counter checking him out. 😂

So today we're combining Throwback Thursday with Thankful Thursday . We are thankful that Avery/Mike joined our team and then stuck with us.

He's a great "kid" with a great attitude, and one of those people who seems to always have a smile on his face. He's dependable, works hard, and is just genuinely fun to have around.

Thanks for being part of the NBP crew, Mike (Avery 😉)! We're glad you're here!

After retiring from his first career, Jeff decided he wasn't quite ready to sit still. So, almost six years ago, he joined the NBP crew for a“fun job.” 😄

Well, apparently six years of fun is enough because Jeff has officially retired... again!

This time, though, we have a feeling this retirement might actually stick! 😉

Jeff, thank you for spending this time with us, for all the miles, laughs, and stories along the way. We are grateful you chose NBP for your “fun job,” and we’ve certainly enjoyed having you as part of our team.

Now it's time to enjoy sleeping in, spending time with the grandbabies, and doing all the things retirement is supposed to be about!

Congratulations on your second—and hopefully final—retirement, Jeff! 🎉 We will miss you around here!

We had a great time getting together outside of work for our shop picnic! ☀️🍔 We enjoyed a good meal, some swimming, plenty of laughs & stories, and just getting to spend time together away from the shop.

And in a shocking turn of events… everyone declined dessert! 😂 Some were being good and avoiding sugar, while others just aren’t banana fans. 🍌 So, yes, we ended up with plenty of leftover dessert—but honestly, we weren’t exactly upset about that (for all you southerners, it's was Edley's recipe)! 😉

We’re thankful for a team that enjoys working hard together and knows how to have a good time together. ❤️

It's Thankful Thursday 💙 This is Eric. If you've been around Northbend Pattern for very long, then you've met him. He's been a steady, dependable part of our team for years, and we're thankful for the person he is every single day.

You don't always get to see what your coworkers are like outside of work... but sometimes people notice and tell you about it.

Recently, someone shared that Eric showed up to a community event with a cooler full of popsicles just to hand them out to the kids (and maybe a few adults too🍦). The line never seemed to end, and this little guy in the picture? Let's just say he may have enjoyed 5 or 6 popsicles by the end of the evening. 🤣🤫 We'll never tell.

That simple act says a lot about Eric. He quietly showed up, served others, bringing smiles and creating them. That's who he is—not just at community events, but here at the shop too.

Eric, we love how you are the kind of person who makes the world a little sweeter (literally). We're grateful for your heart, your willingness to step up, and the joy you bring with you.

Every year, we purchase mulch through the East Central Trojans Football Boosters, and these amazing Trojan Young Life students show up ready to spread it around our shop. It's hard work, and they tackle it with smiles, teamwork, and a willingness to serve.

This year, they went above and beyond by picking up the mulch and delivering it to us before rolling up their sleeves to spread it all.

For these students, this isn't just yard work—it's an opportunity to earn money toward Young Life camp, a week that many former campers call the best week of their lives. We're grateful to play a small part in helping make those experiences possible.

To the Young Life students and football players: thank you for your hard work, positive attitudes, and servant hearts. We appreciate you more than you know, and we're already looking forward to next spring!

Help Build Hope | Part 3: Hope Takes Shape

Build day is always one of our favorite days of the year.

Working together, our team assembled the wall panels that Habitat for Humanity picked up and will soon turn into someone's home. We may not know exactly where this house will be built, but we know it will become a place filled with laughter, milestones, and new beginnings.

We were especially thankful for God's provision. With temperatures reaching 100° the week before, this year's build day brought much more comfortable weather—making for a great day to work together.

After the walls were loaded up, we celebrated with Chick-fil-A and everyone a had well-earned afternoon off.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Help Build Hope project possible. It's an incredible reminder that when people come together to serve, hope is built one board, one wall, and one team member at a time. ❤️🏡
