today is Bike to Work Day … 🚴‍♂️

Now, we technically have a few people who could bike to work… if they suddenly discovered a deep passion for spandex, hills, and questionable life choices.

The real question is—does it still count if your commute starts when the rest of the world is asleep? Because nothing says “healthy lifestyle” like pedaling down a dark road at 3:47am, fueled by caffeine and poor decisions.

But hey, we support the effort. If you see a reflective vest flying by in the middle of the night… just know someone is either:
A) Committed to Bike to Work Day
B) Lost
C) Reconsidering every decision that led them there

Either way—we’re cheering you on. Or at least waiting at work with coffee. ☕

15 years… now that’s something to celebrate 🎉

Today we’re recognizing Franklin and his 15-year work anniversary! He’ll joke that he’s only here because nobody else will have him—but we all know the truth. It’s the people, the friendships, and the kind of place that keeps you coming back year after year.

Franklin says he’s an open book, and one fun thing to know about him is his love for dirt track racing. If there’s a race happening, there’s a good chance he’s there—often with his son right by his side.

I’ve learned nothing in life comes easy, and you showed me that every single day. Raising five kids on your own couldn’t have been easy, but you never gave up on us—and that means more than I probably say.

Thank you for being the person who makes it alright even when it feels like my whole world is falling apart

Thanks for putting up with me all these years… I know I caused my fair share of stress, so you definitely earned this day. You did a solid job, Mom—really.

You taught me how to show up, work hard, and take care of people. That stuck with me.

Celebrating 10 years of Camron! 👏

For a decade, he’s shown up ready to work hard, connect with the people around him, and keep raising the bar. One of the things that sets him apart is the way he challenges himself every time he steps into a new role—always competing against yesterday’s version of himself and pushing for more.

He truly enjoys the people he gets to work alongside, and family at work makes the job even more meaningful. Around the shop, he’s known for being both dedicated and easy to be around—someone who brings energy to the team every day.

Here’s to 10 years of growth, grit, and great teamwork—and many more ahead! Thank you for being a part of the team.

Thankful Thursday Employee Spotlight

Ever wonder why someone would willingly walk around covered in graphite? 😄
One of those people would be Trent—fresh out of the graphite room and fully embracing the challenge.

After starting with us in October, he quickly discovered something surprising… he really enjoys working here. Even more impressive? Before this, he had never picked up a tool. Now, he’s diving into learning each aspect of the trade—wanting to learn it all, from the big processes to the small details (yes, he wants to understand bench!).

Working alongside his dad has been a big motivator for him. Not only did it make stepping into a new trade less intimidating, but it also drives him daily—he wants to make his dad proud, both as a son and as a coworker.

When he’s not at work, you’ll likely find him riding bikes, reading, or checking out historical museums (the Sign Museum is next on his list 👀).

A few fun facts:
Dream dinner guest? Jesus—he’s got a lot of questions!
Big goal this year? Getting a new car 🚗
What keeps him going? Open dialogue and hearing when he’s done a job well

And in case you’re wondering… if he looks serious, he promises he’s not in a bad mood—that’s just his face 😉 (he’s actually a lot shyer than he seems).

We’re thankful to have someone who’s willing to jump into something new, take on challenges (even messy ones), and bring a great attitude to the team every day.
