Hey everyone, well, we’re in the second week of June already! I hope everyone’s put some miles on. Summer is ticking away.

I wanted to share this gem from today. We had James bring up his bike from down by the South Dakota border. And it’s a 2012 CVO street glide with a crate Jim’s 135 in it. the bike ran OK but under the microscope of the Dyno it had a lot of opportunity. The timing tables were flaking out and no matter where I rode. They held steady at 25°. After fixing the file issues in the ECM I was able to gain him 18 foot pounds of torque at 3000 RPM. This is extraordinary and James is gonna have himself a whole new motorcycle when he picks it up.

Herm and I are having an excellent spring and we can’t thank all of you enough for making all these years work for us.

Hey everyone, I hope you all have been behaving… now that warmer weather is here!

You can definitely tell that the temperature has been nicer for motorcycle riding. Our shop and I’m sure all the other shops yin the area are completely flooded with requests of all different types. This makes it difficult to be able to get to all of you and I encourage you to use the shops that you trust and that can deliver within your timeline. Think ahead schedule and plan.

The 4th of July is coming up and if you have any plans of getting anything serviced on your motorcycle before then then you need to call tomorrow. We are mostly booked, some jobs because of their nature cannot be done in that timeline. If you text and your job fits… We’ll get you in.

Sturgis is coming up, I hate to say it, but a person had better start planning now. We easily have jobs that are spread out between now and then and some of the estimates are already slotted between the fourth and Sturgis. It’s gonna fill up fast.

Stay safe, support your friends and neighbors and community. Just be a good human! Don’t get pi**ed on the road and don’t get run over by four wheels. Keep a cool head, you’ll be happier.

Hey everyone, hope you all had a safe weekend.

I’d like to feature this Bike in the photo, this is one of our bikes. It is up for sale, if you want to take a look at it now, you can come by the shop and check it out. We’re just putting on the final little things and it will be ready. We put on new tires and new LEDs lights and smoked lenses, stripped down to look like a street glide, we serviced it and it’s ready for the road. It’s a 2008 Harley-Davidson Ultra. This week’s chronicles of pure Performance Motorcycles!! Hey everyone hope you’re having a safe memorial day weekend!

This week Herm and I had to work by ourselves, Herm’s brother Kord had to help back home with some family business. However, it did not stop us from having a great and got loads of stuff done! We’re absolutely blessed to be able to work in such an industry with so many great people.

This week we also ordered our first impact wiring solutions ECM for the 23 1/2 CVO’s and the new GEN two bikes. We’re really looking forward to this next step of evolution for our shop when it comes to tuning the newest Harley‘s.

Stay safe this weekend, if you’re out drinking call for a ride. If you’re on your motorcycle, don’t do it.

I’m thinking about selling my softail, many of you might know it. It’s a 91 Harley Davidson with 124 S&S. It’s a special crate and built alongside by us and 2 boss performance in Wisconsin. The highest recorded Horsepower is 164 HP and the highest mile per hour recorded at the quarter mile in Sabin MN at the dragstrip is 127 miles an hour. 

I always loved it with the polished stainless tank. The natural finish along with the inner primary and motor and transmission all matching. Frankly, I think it’s bad ass and I’ve had this motorcycle since 2004.

We’ve had one heck of a busy spring! Here’s a little bit of the Chronicles of Pure Performance Motorcycles. We have a great opportunity this year, we’ve had Herm‘s brother come up from Aberdeen and work with us three days a week and it has been awesome! Also I’ve met so many more new people this year, like first time callers. After 17 years of being in business, I didn’t think that we would have so many new people in our community and from the surrounding areas contacting us. With Herm‘s brother helping us, it’s been an absolute blessing. Makes a person feel good and hope you are feeling good too!

Hey everyone, well spring is in full effect here at the shop. We have some of the special projects we’ve been waiting on coming to a finish and in perfect time. I’m loving this gold rim and we’re calling it gold member! This week we had a sick V8 trike come on in! And we cranked up the Dyno. We are cranking out tires and oil changes on the daily. I don’t want the big projects or these specialty items to overshadow that we provide the preventive maintenance service services that are needed to keep you on the road. Those are a priority for us. Give us a call or schedule a visit and we’ll get you serviced or built. Ride safe, the roads aren’t ready yet.

Hi everyone, this is CASEY and it is his birthday, he turns 51 today! Please help us wish him a very happy birthday.
He is one of the founders of Pure Performance Motorcycles back 17 summers ago. He is our Dyno specialist, computer and network and electronics, troubleshooting, performance, and installation specialist!! Really he does wear or assists with every hat that is required for owning an operating a motorcycle shop.
We are going to tease him a little bit and call him the Dyno king!

Hey everyone, here’s a little glimpse of how we try to keep things organized. We have one giant calendar that shows 90 days and is large enough for us to make multiple entries in each square.
Then we have the main computer with all the sticky notes and those are people yet to go into the system and all of the calls that are happening and people yet to schedule.
Then we have all those that are already scheduled or here and how we project manage the motorcycles are on the other board. It’s a lot of flow and it takes a lot of effort to keep everything straight.
A lot of times it’s hard to schedule because the diagnostics that have not been done on the bikes that are yet to come in and you’re not sure how it’s going to affect the days or weeks ahead based upon what failure you find.
As we’ve grown as a business with the number of clients, the boards get larger every year, helping how we manage and we have to always evolve

Hey everyone, these last couple weeks have been fantastic at the shop. We’ve had a lot of bikes leave from winter storage. We’ve cooked some serious meals. We’ve seen a lot of our friends. I love helping everybody out, sometimes it doesn’t leave much for yourself however I’ve made a life out of watching my friends get on their bikes and go ride, I get a lot of joy from this!
