SevenStock 2021 CANCELLED.
SevenStock friends,
It is with great regret and sadness that we have to announce the CANCELLATION of SevenStock-23 this coming November 6, 2021 at Auto Club Speedway. If you booked at the SevenStock hotel, please cancel your booking ASAP. The Hotel has been informed of the event cancellation and you should be able to cancel without issue or penalty.
SevenStock was notified late last week by our venue/track host, SpeedVentures, of some last minute highly untenable covid restrictions at Auto Club Speedway by the county of San Bernardino, that would not allow us to organize a world class event this year. The SevenStock organizing committee decided that instead of cobbling together a last minute, less than stellar event, it would cancel the 2021 event and redouble our efforts for another world class event in '22. The committee felt this is owed to all of our friends, vendors and participants.

On the restrictions announced to SevenStock were the following:
The key restriction that drove the decision to eventually cancel the 2021 event was a daily total attendance gate restriction of 1000 persons, including all staff, vendors, participants, and general attendees. As a reference, just the typical SevenStock staff and vendor gate is +200 persons.
Another key factor was SevenStock main partner and supporter Mazda pulled out completely for 2021 along with a few other key supporters also.
The venue also restricted SevenStock to NO stage, sound system, tents or any other promotional type activities that may cause people to gather in medium to large groups. This essentially rendered our stage presentations and highly popular raffle activities dead.
Also the host did NOT want us to promote the SevenStock name or even a car show activity at the venue; SevenStock was only going to be able to use a "Mazda focused track day" moniker. This was another unacceptable restriction for SevenStock.
The SevenStock committee is absolutely heartbroken and devastated at this last minute cancellation and offer our deepest apologies to all of our key partners and all supporters for any inconvenience this may cause.
We will be organizing an online show to award SevenStock 23 trophies and sell the event shirts, all of which had already been arranged. We will be releasing details of this activity in the near future.
Again, we truly appreciate you all and hope you understand the extremely difficult decision we had to make here. We had contingencies in place this year, but nothing worthy of a SevenStock event could be organized in 15 days.
