I worked on this Ford distributor for about four hours doing the initial test , disassembling cleaning welding the advance limiter and than assembly and dissemble a couple times to get the advance to come it at the correct RPM
But it’s done and on the money.
When I started it had 38 degrees of total timing plus they were using the vacuum advance.
Than guys wonder why they have to run such a low initial

Started doing carbs when I was fourteen
We raced Homelite and McCulloch two cycle engines.
I would drive with one hand on the high speed jet and that’s where I learned about fuel mixture.
One day I was driving in my 69 RT Charger with my Pop and I was in third gear , Pop looked over at me and said what’s wrong with forth gear.
I said I don’t want to foul the plugs
His answer was than learn how to tune the carb
Ok Pop I’ll do that
I miss him dearly
All the boys in our group would come over to my parents house for me to tune or rebuild there carbs and the rest is history.
The Plymouth was my first dual carb setup around 1972
Today I build any carb regardless of make
I pride myself on the way my carbs look and perform
Retired
Well who knows if that will ever happen, I’m booked into July now
And in between carbs I have been recurving distributors

I finished four Holley 94’s today.
The plated parts are back so Monday I will start assembling the fifties Corvette WCFB carbs and I have a special Rochester one barrel to do for a special friend .
Like I say you never know what I will be building so I never get bored
I had a shop called today with a 1971 V12 Jaguar that wants to go on the waiting list for me to rebuild its carbs .
Friday tomorrow so enjoy the weekend
