I got the carb all hooked up and the car running .
How does it run well watch the carb linkage
Bottom end picked up a lot
Top end need bigger jets
When People ask me what jets should I run well that depends on your setup there is no one size fits all it’s trial and era but once you get it you will enjoy it.
You just need patience

I love my Duster but had to put my mark on it and the Edelbrock carb just wasn’t cutting it.
So I have had this 780 Holley cleaned and colored for about six months and I thought this would be a great home for it plus I love the Mopar valve covers so it needed a set.
Today or tomorrow I will get it running and adjusted , I’m excited.

Beautiful day so we went out for a cruise .
Great car and little by little I am making adjustments.
I’m in the process of building a 3310/780 Holley for it .
And I have new valve covers so when the covers get chanced I’ll adjust the valves.
I made a timing adjustment that really woke it up.
Over the winter it will get a close ratio steering box , the new one is four turns Lock to lock , the one in it now is six turns lock to lock so that will be a huge improvement .
Love the car and have to enjoy it since fall and winter is coming

Well since the coupe got sold I was fortunate enough to get this awesome 1970 340 Duster .
It’s a great car but like my friends know I can’t leave things alone.
So over the winter I will be building a 3310/780 Holley for it , currently it has a Edelbrock carb on it and that will not fly also I might be changing the cam since I have a beautiful cam my friend Jerry at Schneider ground for me and I never used and lastly the car has 3.23 gears in it and I need a little more gear for red light starts so probably a set of 3.74 or 3.90 will go in.
My wife loves the car and so do I and we are very very thankful for getting it from a special person.
And since I have been a Mopar guy from the start I feel back at home.
Summer is winding down so enjoy the next couple months and we sure will.

Glass beading carbs is fine but you must coat the bare metal with a coating to prevent oxidation

Everybody thinks one size fits all and tuning is a quick and easy task
The fact is it takes time . Here is one fact to listen to.
And before someone says I’m going to put EFI on and forget the carb
Well here is fact
If you can’t tune your carb you will never be able to come up with a fuel curve for a Sniper or a system like that and auto learn only gets you close.

I got this Autolite four barrel and distributor done and tested today.
Next week will be the marine Holley carb that went under water and I have the marine blower motor carbs after that.
I am shutting down the shop for the month of September, I have got to organize my shop and get the cabin property prepared for fall and winter .
Sometimes you just have to take a step back.
I hope everybody understands
