17 YEARS
Jared has owned and operated Wellsburg Automotive for 17 years, with a short hiatus back in 2019. In this time, he has met hundreds of people, worked on thousands of vehicles and has endless memories; good and bad.
He opened his shop as a 26-year-old who loved to be in the shop, turn wrenches and hear vehicles come to life again. He loved being the hang out spot at the end of the day, hosting Thanksgiving in the office with his friends and serving the community he loved being a part of.
Unfortunately, turning wrenches and throwing tires wears on a guy after a while. At the young age of 43, he’s feeling it. Over the past couple years, we have discussed and prayed about whether this is what he should continue to pursue, or if it was time to give the body a break. The enjoyment of arthritis cream and chiropractor appointments is wearing thin. As business slowed this winter, our minds and prayers didn’t. God always opens a door when the time is right, which brings us to this…
About a month ago, we had someone come to us wanting to buy the shop. A young man who loves to be in the shop, turn wrenches and hear vehicles come to life again. After more discussion, prayer and arthritis cream; we accepted his offer! Everything lined up perfectly and we knew this was our time to pass the wrench on to someone new.
Thursday, March 19th, will be the final day we own Wellsburg Automotive. Our signs will come down and new will go up! The new owner will be a tad shorter😅, but ready to work for you!
We appreciate those of you who have stayed loyal to us over the last 17 years. We are forever grateful to you for keeping us up and running. Your loyalty has kept a roof over our head and food on the table. We will miss the regular, familiar faces, phone calls and drop ins; but we aren’t going too far! Jared has new adventures already in motion and is excited to share those with you! We hope you will follow us on our next journey as we continue to work for you, but with a little less strain on the joints. 😊
