Great race weekend with at ! My first track day here was years ago, which was a 1hr stint with ChumpCar in a Buick Regal. Well years later I finally came back and ended up taking 1st place in my class on Friday. Today I had the second fastest lap in qualifying, putting at p2 for the start. They ended up splitting the classes up, and put Honda Challenge on the 2nd pace car with me at pole position. No other H1 cars in today’s race, but I ended up passing 16 cars that were on the 1st pace car and finishing 1st in Honda Challenge Overall with the 2nd fastest lap of the race. I would like to thank my awesome wife for surprising me with the covering the entree fees for Birthday! I’m a lucky man! Also, thanks to all my sponsors for your support along the way. I can’t wait to see what this car can do when I start dialing in the suspension and alignment from it’s base settings.

Solid day of testing and instructing at with . I had 2 very good students that progressed well throughout the day. I got down to a 1:21.76 with some sensor wiring issues again. It was causing major hesitation on throttle tip in which made the car “interesting” to drive. I think it’s time I make my own engine wiring harness. Thanks to for their support and helping me diagnose the car today!

I'm always delayed in getting video's up, but here is my first race with NASA in Honda Challenge after passing competition licensing school the day prior. I was still learning the track and the new tire setup as well as being extra cautious feeling out the other drivers etc, but had a blast! Most of the races with NASA are all at tracks I haven't driven before so that is going to be an on going challenge that I am looking forward to.

I had a solid test day at Thompson Speedway with the added weight and new tire/wheel setup that was inspired by Spencer Anderson. It was a cold and damp conditions, but I was able to get one solid test session on the Toyo RR’s. I ended up getting down to my personal best at 1:21.73. Also thanks to Seamus and Andre from Tailored Chassis Solutions for their help with the setup and advice during the day. Video’s coming soon.

Car needed about 100 # of ballast to meet minimum weight rules for NASA Honda Challenge H1. So what better to use than used Fisher Control Valve plugs that are 2-3x worth more than the car.

Late to posting this, but a few months ago I cut into my hood and vented the radiator and rear section. Faircloth Composites provided the vents and I bonded the center CF vent to the hood using Marine-Tex.

The car looks extra mean now.

I took an AIM seminar to learn how to review the data from my Motorsport dash and discovered my oil pressure has been running pretty low when running just a oil pump baffle on an oem pan. So to save the motor I went back to TracTuff for a major upgrade. I’m looking forward to seeing and the new data with the new baffled oilpan.

The official results are in from CART’s time trial at Thompson Motorsports Speedway on Saturday. The EG civic on Hankook RS4 street tires took 4th fastest overall with the 1:22.73

Video from Thompson Motorsports Park CART Time trial on 9/22/18.

I went a little too hot into turn 5 with my cold tires on my out lap and went for a quick spin... whoops! I was able to pull it back together for the 2 laps and finish with my personal best time with a 1.22.73 on Hankook RS4's. (slicks are up next).
