Rubberized undercoating looks tough when it goes on, but it dries into a hard shell. Once that shell cracks or chips, salt water gets underneath and sits right against bare metal, which is exactly where rust starts.

Fluid Film works the opposite way. It’s lanolin based, it never dries, and it keeps creeping into the seams, frame rails and overlaps a hard coating can’t reach. Nothing to crack, nothing to trap water.

Rochester salt does not wait for winter to start doing damage. By the time you can see rust on a rocker or a brake line, it has been working on the underside of the car for a couple of seasons already.

Fluid Film creeps into the seams, the frame rails and the underbody and keeps rust from taking hold. We buy it by the drum and we are booking undercoating now, before the trucks start salting.

Through October and November you also get a free NYS inspection with any paid service, so the inspection comes right along with it.

Here is the good part. Through October and November, your New York State inspection is free with any paid service. Getting an oil change anyway? Brakes, tires, a check engine light you have been ignoring? The inspection comes with it.

Rochester winters are hard on the underside of a car. Salt gets into every seam and it does not stop working once it is there. Fluid Film undercoating creeps into those seams and keeps moisture off the metal, and it works on a new vehicle or one that already has some age on it.
