When Eddie escapes the mountains of WNC and closes Maynor Tire Co. for a bit, he comes to the gulf coast and helps rescue sea turtles from the gulf waters. 😊

This girl’s name is Lorna and she was foul-hooked several times at The Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier where Eddie’s wife, Jennifer has been working for the last year. Lorna is a 50 year old sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle weighing 190 lbs. 🐢

Once they’re pulled from the waters, transport takes them for rehabilitation. After hooks are removed and they’re healthy enough for release, they are placed back onto the shoreline to re-enter the water. 💚

Beginning Tuesday, January 3, 2023 Eddie is cutting back and slowing down. He and JB aren’t ready to retire just yet, but are limiting the amount of work to only 3 days a week: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday by appointment only. Serving the community for almost 40 years, we’ll continue to do all we can to keep you on the road. Please stay up to date on your normal scheduled maintenance. We’re staying booked out 1-2 weeks so if you need anything, call and get scheduled in advance. Sorry, but we do not make appointments or quote prices through messenger. This Lil’ Ol’ Man was trotting along South Main St. at Ninevah Road around 10:30 am today. Lots of heavy traffic so we are keeping him safe inside for now. Please, let’s get this boy home. He’s at Maynor Tire Co. 1559 S. Main St. in Waynesville. We can not keep him because we already have six dogs of our own. Very sweet and well behaved. If no one comes forward, we will transport to Animal Shelter. 🥰❤️

We just had three vehicles cut through our parking lot to avoid the signal light at Ninevah Rd. and South Main St. This is illegal for a reason. We are an operational business. You could hit us or our customers walking to and from their vehicles. Please share this status to help spread awareness. Thanks so much.
