Well bad news for the Honda civic Si!
After checking valve clearance, compression test and cylinder leak down test. It has been confirmed that it has a Burnt/leaking exhaust valve on cylinder 1!
Proper diagnostic is critical when repairing vehicle's!

Don't be the guy that fires the parts cannon at a problem!

Steady day at the office today!

Yall remember the Silver camaro from last week?

Well he was so satisfied with his service, he brought his Silverado in for service also!

Silverado in for front and rear brakes and rotors!

Also was able to help another returning customer with their Honda Crv that had a brake issue.
Rear pads, rotors, and a caliper on this unit!

Then we dove into some diagnostics on a 2012 Honda civic Si.

And a bumper to bumper multipoint inspection on this 2006 Honda pilot!

One of the toughest things I usually encounter as a technician is troubleshooting evap system problems.

The evap tests on the scan tools work but in my opinion are never thorough and conclusive!

But today on a good customers 2004 Honda Odyssey van i was able to activate all components, and very everything was working properly until I finally found a small leak behind a splash panel.

A good scan tool, and diagnostic smoke machine and proper procedures can help you cross the finish line on a problem!

Me and Shannon worked together for many years at Eavers Tire and continued being friends til present day. We both shared a passion for anything car related. I hate to hear about his passing, but know that he is healed and in a new healthy body cruising the streets of heaven!

PLEASE READ!

If you are having car problems always remember you have a choice to decline a repair !

This customer had their vehicle diagnosed and was given a $4600 price for repair.

We were able to perform the repair using oem parts and save the customer a substantial amount of money.

So with that being said. I had to replace the turbocharger on this 2018 Honda Crv with a 1.5L turbo engine for blown seals and a underboost issue.

I would call this a Win!

Customer called and stated " I was installing a new oil pan and when I went to torque the oil pan bolts it snapped a bolt.

I got the vehicle in this morning, removed the oil pan, and got to work!

Drilled and extracted the broken bolt and finished the job.
