Established in 1938 in Singac, New Jersey Les Daniel and Henry Strys founded Mountain View Diners Company to manufacture prefabricated diners. This company outsold most all of the other manufacturers in the 1950's with an aggressive marketing campaign, sending their units all over the country. "A Mountain View Diner will last a lifetime" was the company motto as befitted their quality craftsmanshi

p. These diners can be seen today with one such diner still located locally in Lyndhurst NJ, The Colonial. Their pre-World War II diner models usually incorporated late Art Deco style. With materials being used for war efforts, few diners were produced during the war years. While attempting to go public in June, 1956 the company floundered and went out of business shortly thereafter. The company ceased operation in 1957 after producing over 400 diners. Les Daniel's son, Les Daniel II enjoyed fixing cars and did so as a hobby throughout high school. Succeeding Mountain View Diners Company, Les Daniel II established Mountain View Auto Body in 1957. With one other employee, he was able to turnover approximately 5 cars per week on his way to establishing a well-known reputable body shop. Les Daniel II continued to work at Mountain View Auto Body when in 1980, his son, Les Daniel III, took over the company. After spending the majority of the beginning of his tenure expanding the shop, it is now ranked as one of the leading repair shops in the Tri-State area. Today, we accept all major insurance companies and are committed to customer service and the quality of our work. We turnover approximately 65 cars per week, over 12x greater than the turnover in the 1980s, ensuring the customer is back in the driver seat sooner rather than later.
