To our valued customers and friends,
News travels quickly in a small town, so many of you may have already heard that we have decided to sell the BP station in Wayland.
This wasn't something we had planned to do. We have owned the station for the past 7½ years, and Jeff managed it for five years before we became the owners. This business has been a significant part of our lives for many years, and we have truly appreciated the relationships we've built with so many of you.
The opportunity arose when a buyer approached us with an offer to purchase the gas station portion. While we are selling the gas station, we plan on moving the towing and service business.
Our hope is to continue serving our community by building a new shop where we can focus on towing and automotive service. At the moment, we are working through several obstacles, including zoning and other approvals, so the process is taking longer than we had hoped. We remain optimistic that everything will come together.
Selling a gas station is not a simple process. We are also approaching retirement, and this opportunity made sense as we look ahead to the next chapter while still continuing the work we enjoy.
Most importantly, we want to thank you. Your loyalty, trust, and friendships have meant more to us than words can express. We sincerely hope that when our new towing and service shop opens, you will continue to support us there just as you have over the years.
We would also like to thank our wonderful employees. They have made Wayland BP successful and an important part of the community.
We'll be sure to keep everyone updated as plans move forward. Thank you for being part of our journey—we look forward to serving you for many years to come.
With sincere gratitude,
Jeff & Susan Wiegers
