Its not much but I managed to get two of the cab mounts built and welded in today. They should be considered more of a solid mount then factory but they do have rubber bushings to help some with vibrations..... Maybe

I spent the last week or so working on the green truck but after running into more issues I decided to be productive and get more done on the lift up bed floor in the '62 as close to done as I could so all the boards are in, latches, lift struts and one coat of my custom stain are all done.

After some not so fun work changing head gaskets on a mustang I have not made much progress on the c20 but I finished up the bed step finished up the vent and made a couple filler pieces. Pretty much ready to work on the other side now hopefully I can make that side match.

The latest work I got done after taking a break last weekend to take a trip to Bristol with a few good friends was a kill two birds with one stone kinda deal. First I replaced some more rust on the bottom of the fender no big deal after that I built a cover to hide the leaf spring hanger and then I came up with my own design for a brand new step since the old one was so rusty.

What do normal people do when their lawn mower deck rusts out or cracks all over the place? I have no idea but I built an all new deck that should be alot tougher than the factory stamped deck. While I wait on the new blades I did get some more done on the truck like moved the filler neck on the gas tank and tig welded in a patch to close off the old filler neck then I got the tank straps made and bolted in. Now the last thing was a two birds one stone job I started fixing the rust on the bed fenders and by cutting out the rust I was able to make them 3 inches wider to clear the tires in the back. It still has a bit left to go but so far its turning out pretty good.

I gotta say thank you to my uncle Paul-Butch O'Leary for hand painting my center caps for my Detroit Steel Wheel they turned out looking good with the bronze. I got the ride height all finalized by lowering the front about 2 inches and started getting the gas tank mounted. Next up is actually getting the cab mounts built.

I have been slowly getting more of the rust fixed on the c20 build. With the passenger side fender and door metal work just about finished up that is almost all of it done on that side. Its not perfect by any means but it is better than it was and im still learning.
