We lost a genuinely kind soul earlier this week. Whether it was my dad, my Uncle Brian or me racing, John could be found in the stands with an 01 racing shirt on. It was an honor to celebrate him and his racing history with a throwback paint job this summer and we're so happy he was able to see it. He will surely be missed. You'll have the best seat in the house for this up coming race season and will have some good company to watch with. Rest easy Johnny and godspeed #77.

Unfortunately we are not going to be racing the season championship at Golden Sands Speedway tomorrow night. We are still having issues with our misfire. We went through everything mechanical on the car and even put a on new fuel pump, new spark plugs and plug wires. Everything is working fine mechanically. Next step is going through the electrical side of the car. We will see how things go and possibly try for a late race at Marshfield. But until then, make sure to get over to Golden Sands tomorrow for the first championship night!

A little behind on updates...

Friday July 18th we had a decent night. Had a loose car and slowly worked on dialing it in. Our first night doing individual qualifying, which I struggle with. Qualified 18th. In the heat race we were still a bit loose finishing 5th. Did a little more work on the car and got it handling a little better for the feature but still a bit loose off, finishing 13th.

Saturday July 26th we had our first mechanical failure. Went out for first practice and the car started to spit and sputter at high RPMs. Came in and starting working through our fuel system to find the issue and found some debris in the fuel filter. Hoping that was the cause we put it back together and went back out for second practice and came in with the same issue. Unfortunately we did not have a spare fuel pump so that would be the cause of our short night. We went out and limped it to get our feature start and pulled back to the trailer.
Needless to say, parts were ordered the next day in twos so we will have a spare on the trailer.

Another wet night at Plover. Involved in an on track incident in our heat race that ended our night early. Fix a few bent and broken parts and try again July 18th at Plover. Thats racing.

We had our first race at Golden Sands Speedway over the weekend and mother nature did not want to cooperate. With showers on and off all night it made for an eventful race day. A solid field of 20 legend cars, we had two 10 car heats and had a decent finish of 5th. Rain was closing in on the radar when we started our feature. 5 laps in the caution was thrown for a rain delay. Golden Sands crew worked hard to dry the track and about 30 minutes later we were back on track to continue our feature. Due to the rain and continued sprinkles the track was a little slick and the windshield got difficult to see out of so we ran the best we could until we seen the leaders in the mirror and decided it was best to pull back into the pits. We are excited to get back to the track and hopefully have a better night with nicer weather!

Everyone likes a good throw back scheme. If you know the Lashua family and Lashua Motorsports then you know John. But not many of you may know that John used to wheel a car of his own back in the day and we wanted to honor his racing history. So here is the car for 2025!

I'm sure there are people itching to see what the car looks like this year...but we aren't quite there yet. After a quiet winter, we're finally making some noise!
