REMEMBERING MIKE WALSH
There are some people who come into our lives and leave an impression. And then there are people like Mike Walsh, who leave a part of themselves behind in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know them.
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that all of us at Griffin Ford share the passing of our friend, colleague, and teammate, Mike.
Mike spent the past two years with our Griffin Ford family, but his impact on the automotive community stretched back 29 years. During that time, Mike built something that can't be taught in a sales training class or measured by numbers on a page. He built relationships and earned people's trust.
When Mike came to Griffin Ford, hundreds of his longtime customers followed him.
That says everything.
They didn't follow a dealership. They followed Mike.
They knew him, trusted him, and knew he would listen. Mike wasn't simply interested in selling someone a vehicle. He genuinely cared about people, what was happening in their lives, and how he could help. For many of his customers, he became much more than their salesperson. He became a trusted friend.
Mike also had a special ability to listen to someone's problems or concerns and somehow make sense of them. He could take a complicated situation, put the pieces together, and give someone clarity when they needed it most.
And then there was his humor.
Mike could make you laugh when you least expected it. He had a personality that filled a room, a quick wit that could brighten a difficult day, and a way of connecting with people that was uniquely his own.
For those of us at Griffin Ford, Mike wasn't just a coworker. He was a big part of our family.
His chair will be empty. His voice and laughter won't be heard around the dealership. There will be moments when we expect to see him walk through the door, hear one of his stories, or catch one of his jokes out of left field.
We'll miss his humor, his stories, his advice, and his ability to listen. Most of all, we'll miss our friend, Mike.
To Mike's family and all those who loved him, please know that you are in our hearts. We are deeply sorry for your loss, and we are grateful that Mike shared a part of his life with all of us.
To the hundreds of customers who followed Mike to Griffin Ford, and everyone who knew him throughout his 29 years in the automotive business, we know this loss is personal for you, too.
Mike meant something to so many people, and perhaps that is the greatest testament to the kind of man he was.
Thank you, Mike, for the laughter, friendship, trust, kindness, and memories. Thank you for taking care of people the way you did and for being someone people could count on.
You didn't just sell cars.
You built relationships. You earned trust. You made people feel heard. And you made a difference.
We were incredibly fortunate to call you our friend and coworker.
Rest peacefully, Mike.
You will never be forgotten. ❤️
