Yesterday was a fun one, got off work and went to a buddy’s place to help him again since last time I tried to replace his wheel bearing, the axle was seized to it. Replaced both the axle and wheel bearing and had no more grinding sounds!

Please remember if you’re ever dealing with electrical working on a car weather it’s replacing a radiator or something small, disconnect the battery so the ecu can relearn the new parts. I had a customer visit me at work today telling me her cooling fans weren’t turning on. She had the radiator recently replaced by a shop and they forgot to disconnect the power before removing the fans, I found the issue when I pulled the ECT (coolant temperature sensor) fans came right on, cleared the code and they continued to work as they’re supposed to. I swear some shops do this crap hoping it blows a relay or fuse, so the customer will pay them more money for a $10 fix. Anyways… customer is happy I fixed their mistake for cheaper than they would’ve charged.

2 jobs today! 2014 Toyota Prius new rear shocks and full brakes. Afterwards went to diagnose a shifting issue on a Kia soul, turns out the shift cable had snapped.

No crank no start on this 2017 Elantra, customer wanted me to replace the starter so I did. After the new install she started right up! Looked over the old one and sure enough the power supply was corroded and the grounds were rusty.

Front brakes on a 19 mini cooper s! Just so yall are aware unlike the last mechanic, there’s a wear sensor on the drivers side brake pad that you’re supposed to put back or replace everytime you do the brakes. Last mechanic zip tied it to the bracket on the strut and that’s why the pads failed.. The customers passenger side was like new for wear, but wanted both replaced to be safe!

Two Subarus in one day! First was an axle needing to be replaced on an 05 outback, second was the rear wheel bearing on a wrx. Must I say, Subaru wheel bearings suck!😂
